Design Tips

♡ Picking a vice that suits your intended theme or character is a good place to start, but don't feel like you have to be tied down by it. Many succubuns grow and change from the person they were when they were young, and it's possible to have a succubun with lust horns who no longer has an interest in sex, or a humble succubun with pride horns.

♡ The cheek circles on a bun are only a stylistic touch, and aren't a required part of a design.

♡ Horns and hooves don't have to be the same color, nor do all the hooves have to be the same color as each other.

♡ Not every marking or color on a bun has to be translated 1:1 to their skin or hair. Consider using clothing to mimic the bun’s features, similar to a gijinka!

♡ Buns are meant to be simple and easy to draw! Instead of thinking of a bun as a small person and designing them the same way you would design a humanoid character, try thinking of them like a "mascot" version of that character.

Rather than adding details like realistic textures, outfits, hairstyles, and other complex elements to the bun form, consider saving them for the doll form instead. Then, boil down those details to the bare essentials for the bun form, using patterns on their fur and one or two simplified accessories to communicate the essence of the character in a simpler design.
