[Gift] A puppy in show

Today was quite the special day, specifically for Orryn. Gaius finally finally let him dress up pup. He said only for an hour before it came off but... it's been longer than an hour... much longer.

Orryn snuck as many pictures as he could of pup with little ribbons in his ears, even managing to get one photo of Gaius holding pup while he had the ribbons in his ears. Quite the cute photo if you asked him. 

"Orryn." Gaius called out to him, noticing his partner getting distracted and 'sneaking' more photos of the pup. Honestly it was really the only reason he was allowing it to happen for so long. Orryn was happy and thought he was getting away with something, thus Gaius enjoyed watching the joy cross his face with each photo and glance when he realized the ribbons were still on. 

"Gaius." Orryn quickly let his phone drop down, hoping that he wasn't just seen with the camera, not that he wasn't super obvious with it anyways. 

"I think pup needs some new accessories." Gaius hums softly, the quiet of their room allowing the gentle demeanors to come out, the soft words and glances that most didn't see being most obvious here. Gaius sat on a chair close to the bed while Orryn pretended to scroll through his phone on the bed, laying on his stomach. 

"Really?" Orryn quickly drops his phone completely onto the bed, flipping himself around to climb off the bed and grab pup from Gaius's lap. "I think I have the perfect idea. He's already got ribbons, what about little bitty shoes?" Orryn happily pets pup, sitting in Gaius's lap instead as he rattled off ideas. Gaius happily held onto Orryn as he sat, "Shoes? Really?" Gaius laughs quietly, pressing a kiss to his shoulder.

"Shoes. Really." Orryn nods, messing with pup's paws and the imp let him.

"How about a bit more of a practical accessory. Like... a collar? Or... a ribbon for his tail?" Gaius watches Orryn play with pup, not quite understanding how the little imp was so calm and willing to let Orryn mess with him. "I mean... we are going to show him off at the competition, and if we're going out of the church, all of us have to be dressed our best, including him." He jokes.

"I think shoes count in looking his best. He'd be a little stylish boy!" Orryn lifts the pup up, getting him to do a little dance as he messed with him. 

"Okay, fine... shoes. But also a collar, please." Gaius gives into Orryn this time, letting him make the choice of accessories for their... shared pup? He might as well be at this point. It's not like he specifically wanted to be the owner and they both took care of him and trained him. Shared custody really. 

"Okay, yeah yeah I'll give him a collar too. A cute one though, gotta match his ribbons and shoes." Orryn teases, though he was completely serious, he would make sure this little imp was the most decorated little guy around... and the most adorable. "Oh! Maybe a little hat instead, and the hat can have ribbons! Then he can match us!" Orryn's voice raises in pitch as he speaks, excitement quickly taking over as he speaks about the ideas he had.

"Won't it be a bit too busy? A ribbon on a hat?" Gaius does his best not to grimace, he didn't think this was the best idea ever but it also wasn't the worst. 

"I have chains on mine and it looks good, I think ribbons will look cute." Orryn pouts slightly, taking the questioning voice as a rejection.

"Okay okay... ribbons on the hat." Gaius sighs some with a small laugh under his breath as he leans forward to kiss Orryn's cheek.

"Thank you. I think I have great fashion sense anyways, I'll make sure our son looks good." Orryn smiles at the pup again, Gaius following suit before... wait did he just say son?

"Our son?" Gaius teases, a small smirk on his lips.

Orryn pauses for a moment... then another. "I'm going to go fix his hat up now." He abruptly stands, making his way out of the room and to... well he didn't really know where, it's not like people just made or sold little hats for imps... or did they... maybe Hutch would know, or have an idea.

He walked back into the room where Gaius was making his way to the door, "Come with me... we're going to the imporium." Orryn says curtly, not waiting for Gaius to answer or follow, the blush on his face wasn't leaving any time soon and he didn't need Gaius noticing or teasing him for it.

Gaius just followed along, no complaints or any words spoken. He didn't have time to change out of his priestly clothes but, they were what he was most comfortable in so he didn't mind too much.

The two make their way to the imporium, Hutch sat at the front desk, happily feeding and training his phloof with black sesame treats.

The two men walk in, catching the other buns attention, "Oh! How can I help you two today? This is..." Hutch takes a moment to remember, "Pup right?" He met tons of imps and owners each day but... someone naming their impup pup... it definitely stuck out to him a bit.

Gaius nods, "Correct, this is pup." He gestures over to Orryn who was still holding his imp.

"Hi Hutch... I was hoping, more like wondering if there were any kind of hats or accessories that I could get for pup?" Orryn smiles sweetly at the bun.

"Oh! Sure, yeah! We have plenty of accessories for sale, especially now that the competition is over, everyone really enjoyed dressing their imps up for the best in show. We're still accepting submissions for that though if you want to enter? You can get a few prizes even now." Hutch smiles gently, gesturing over to a small stand behind him of accessories for sale.

"Oh! Best in show? That works, I think it'd be cute to see pup in the running, personally I think he'd smash the competition." Orryn looks over at Gaius to see if he agreed.

"It would be fun to see him compete, yeah. Interesting to see where he placed too." Gaius nods, the cold demeanor just barely softened.

Hutch smiles, he knew what to expect from Gaius this time, less shocked by the behavior this time. "Perfect! Well I'll let you guys choose out what you want and then help you take photos and set them up on the podium for the competition!" He brings the little stand over to the other two, making his way to a door near the back, "When you're ready just come through here, I'll set up the podium for him." He nods before making his way through the door and out of sight.

Orryn quickly spins through all the hats that hutch had, looking for a plain one to tie the ribbons around. He found the perfect one, a size between the equivalent of his and Gaius's hats combined, just for pup.

"Gaius, what do you think of this one? I think it fits perfectly!" Orryn lifts it up to show off to his partner who takes it from his hands. 

"I think it fits, yeah. Let's do it." Gaius nods, taking the ribbon from pup's ears and tying them together to tie around the head of the hat. Once it looked to his liking, he gently placed the hat on pup's head, making sure the horns fit perfectly in the little slotted holes on top. "He looks cute. He takes after you." Gaius teases, a small call back to the fact Orryn called pup their son.

A blush rises to Orryn's cheeks again, but distracts himself with pup, "I think he looks adorable, and if thats what he takes after me than I'm happy he does." He huffs slightly, now looking through collars to pick out.

Gaius watches him carefully, his gaze only serving to fluster and distract Orryn more. "Are you going to help me or no? You're the one who wanted him to have a collar." Orryn chides Gaius.

"Yeah yeah, I'll help, what about something pink to match the ribbons, then we could get him little pink shoes too. Just to match, stay consistent you know?" Gaius hums, completely serious about the sentence which caught Orryn slightly off guard before he smiles again. "I think that works, a very cute idea too.

The two of them spend plenty of time looking through different collars and shoes before making their way back to where Hutch had gone, little pup dressed to the nines in his latest accessories and almost seeming like he was proudly flaunting it off. Orryn sets him on the prepared podium, taking even more photos that Gaius proceeded to tease him for. Hutch also took a few photos to submit to the competition.

"Well... you guys are free to stay a bit longer to keep looking at accessories or taking photos back here, but I've got to go make the rounds and check on the rest of the imps." Hutch explains, "Let me know if you need anything else." He smiles, just as he's about to leave, Orryn stops him.

"Impups are quite friendly, yeah?" Orryn asks, to which Hutch looks at him somewhat confused.

"Uhm, yes?" His confusion makes its way through his voice.

"Even towards other impups?" Orryn clarifies.

"Yeah, they're a very docile breed. Are you wanting another?" Hutch's face grows slightly in excitement while Gaius's dropped as he realized what Orryn was wanting.

"Maybe, I might convince grumpy pants to get another." Orryn teases, gesturing back to Gaius, "I think pup needs a friend, and I need another little guy to dress up because this is just too fun." He laughs softly, looking back at pup who still sat obediently on the podium.

"Yeah! Well, whenever you want, just come by again and I'll be ready to have a new one for you. I'm glad you guys are enjoying the impup so much." Hutch smiles brightly before turning and saying his goodbyes, actually having to leave that time to do what he said he would.

Orryn turns back to Gaius, "Son and Daughter.. have to have both." He teases which earns him a small eye roll.

"I'm not training this one this time. That'll be on you." Gaius frowns, bringing his own phone out now to take a picture of his baby on the podium. He wouldn't admit it, but he didnt have to, pup was absolutely like his little son, practically his shadow as well since the pup followed him around loyally. Orryn didn't need him to admit it though, he already knew, and having a second would just be more fun for him.

"Yeah yeah, I'll teach the other one. But, you have to admit, it's fun to dress them up." Orryn smiles.

"A little bit."
