[Gift] Training montage

After a long day of having to walk around the church, organizing things and getting others off their asses to clean up after patrons, Gaius was all too keen to sit at his desk and stay there for the rest of the night. He didn't want to move, if anyone needed him, he'd be right there. 

The only issue was if he wanted to see anyone else... if he didn't move he couldn't get them, and there was a certain someone he really wanted to see in that moment. As he began to plot just how he'd get Orryn into his office without moving, his little pup ran into the office, running around high on energy and tail wagging around. He lifts the little imp into his lap, happily petting him as it squirmed, wanting to still move around. He hushes the pup for a moment as it whined to get back down and cause more chaos for the other church goers and in that moment Gaius realized exactly what he could do. He slipped the hat off of his head, pulling a treat out as well. He still had some left over from when Hutch had given him a little bag during his visit to the imporium. The pup's attention was quickly grabbed by the treat, sitting still in gaius's lap, empty eyes truly focused on the treat in his hand and not a single thought behind them. 

"Good boy." He reassured the one trick pup had already known, one that was thankfully quite easy to teach him since Gaius needed it during sermons when pup liked to act up most. He put the hat in front of the pup's mouth... or where his mouth would be and letting the void of the imp take it and hold on. Once he did, he rewarded him, "Good boy, pup. Good fetch." He smiles, already introducing the keyword for the trick while feeding him the treat. This should be relatively easy. He just needed to be able to transfer it to Orryns hat specifically... it would require him to get up now but it was worth it to not have to get him in the future. He practiced the trick a few more times with the pup, keeping him on his lap before standing and placing his hat back on his head. 

He set a treat on the ground, the pup staring at it and what looked like... drool? Dripping from the void and vanishing into misty shadows. He ignored it and continued on.

Time to get the hat he truly needed.

Thankfully for Gaius, Orryn was off showering, leaving the mans hat vulnerable in this moment. He snatched it and made his way back to his office, completely inconspicuous to the others in the hall who totally didn't see the proud smirk on his face as he held the hat. Once back in his office, he set the hat in front of pup who waited patiently, still staring at the treat and more frequent drops of the shadows continued to fall off where the imps mouth should be. Poor little guy sitting there waiting that whole time. Good thing he'd be getting a treat any moment now. 

He lifted the treat to the pup who eagerly took it, bounding around the room again until Gaius pulled out another sesame treat, this probably wasn't the best to feed him so much but... Hutch never said there was a limit. It's fine... or it should be at least. 

"Ok pup. Time to keep practicing. Come fetch." He set Orryn's hat on the ground to which the pup eagerly grabbed ahold of the hat and let go, waiting happily for his treat to which he was awarded, though Gaius frowned. "How... should I teach you to bring it to me." He hummed in thought, though pup tilted his head in wonder as Gaius spoke, none of the words he understood. It didn't make him any less curious though.

Gaius thought for a moment before moving his way to the other end of the room opposite of the hat. "Ok, pup. Fetch." He nods towards the hat which the impup happily picks up for a moment and lets go, bounding over to Gaius, expecting an award. Unfortunately for him, he didn't get one in that moment. He looks up at Gaius confused, "Fetch." He repeats, nodding and pointing at the hat again. The pup runs back to the hat, picking it up and just before he lets go, Gaius motions to himself, "Fetch!" He repeats one last time. Pup hesitantly makes his way back to Gaius with the hat in hand. His eyes 'light up', more like grow twice their size as he's rewarded for the action. 

Gaius cheers silently to himself, "Good boy!" and if there was any proudness detected in his voice or happiness to have the pup, he'd deny it to anyone who heard, though they would all know how much he cares for the little imp. He practiced with him a few more times with Orryn's hat, solidifying that that was the correct one and even throwing his own hat down next to it. He didn't reward pup when he was brought his own hat, only rewarding when it was Orryns. 

Finally once he felt the pup had it down, he let him relax, picking him up and sitting with him at his desk, setting Orryn's hat on top as he did more work. 

"Seriously?" Gaius heard a voice from his doorway, one he adored as he looked up. 

"Seriously...? What?" He looks confused, and honestly he was, he'd forgotten he'd just up and stolen Orryn's hat from him.

"My hat. That's what. I was looking all over for it, why do you have it in here?" He huffs, placing it on his head as he walked forward. 

"Oh, because I wanted to see you." Gaius says simply, causing a soft blush on Orryn's face as he watches the man in front of him, looking further down at the happy little impup who watched him. 

"That's all? You could've just waited for me in the room." Orryn pouts slightly, not truly upset but definitely annoyed, reaching forward to pet the pup in Gaius's lap and pull him up. "Did you need anything then? I'm pretty sure chores and sermons are done for today." He hums as he continues to pet pup who happily leaned into his touch. 

Gaius shakes his head, "Just wanted to see you." He lets a small smile through, gesturing for Orryn to come closer. As he did, he stood up some, placing a kiss onto his lips before sitting back down. "Oh, and I taught pup a new trick." He hums and Orryn turns to him surprised. "More than just sit? I'm surprised, you said that's all he needed." Orryn teases him, and earns himself an eyeroll. "Yeah yeah, well I thought this one would be fun. It's a surprise though. So you can't see it right now." Gaius smiles innocently at Orryn.

"I don't know if I'll truly think it's fun but... guess I'll wait." Orryn looks skeptically at Gaius, unsure how much he liked the surprise but deciding to wait anyways. "Well I'm going to check on a few of the others. I'll see you later tonight." Orryn hums, leaning down to give Gaius another kiss.

"Okay, just come by when you're ready." He hums, giving Orryn another quick kiss before letting him leave, taking pup back into his hands. Once Orryn leaves, Gaius waits a few moments... then a few more... and he pulls out one little treat, showing it to pup.

"Fetch." He smirks as the pup sprints out the door and towards where Orryn left. The only thing he hears is a strangled yell as the pup runs into the room with a hat that was strung with gold chains, a very pretty hat... and shortly followed by a prettier man, Orryn, who was very unhappy that he was just climbed and robbed by this little pup. 

"SERIOUSLY!?"
