are you ready for Love?
Miyeon was fucking stupid. She was so stupid. Kohara is in love with her dumb ass.
When xe arrives home in the early morning, it is to find several flyers showcasing a fair all over the kitchen countertops.
They sigh. For sure Miyeon wants to go. Probably on a date. Definitely soon. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Kohara loves her, and wants her to have anything she desires. Thing is, xe wants her to desire xyr, and all signs point otherwise.
Picking up the scattered flyers, Kohara piles them in a tidy little pile. They glance at the clock, reading 4:47AM and decide to indulge themselves with making fresh bread.
While kneading the dough, Kohara thinks and ponders. If things were a little different, would they have ever had a chance? Xe punches the dough, eyes a little misty. It doesn't help.
While the dough rests, Kohara settles in the living room. Hooves on top of the coffee table, TV on on a low volume, mindful of the sleeping bun in her room.
Kohara pats their pockets, but it seems as if xe is out of cigarettes again. Xe curses in a low voice, and sighs. Their phone tells them there's still a good half an hour until the dough has sufficiently rested.
Oh well, they might as well just TV surf until it's done.

As it turns out, Miyeon was even more stupid than they thought.
Kohara was right, she did want to go to the fair on that same day, but to find a date. Specifically on the Tunnel of Love. Somehow, in her small pea sized brain, the Tunnel of Love was the place where couples met.
When xe heard Miyeon's logic, an intense yet familiar urge to rip her clothes to shreds and passionately kiss her into further incoherence rose in Kohara's entire body.
She was really really dumb. Kohara wanted nothing more than to call her theirs.
So obviously, they agreed.
And that's how Kohara now finds xyrself standing in line for the gaudy Tunnel of Love in Burrowgatory's visiting fair. Miyeon hung onto their arm, chatting a mile a minute, about how she was certain that this was it! This is how she'll find The One.
Kohara just looks at her, staring straight into her, frankly, freakishly light violet eyes. They wonder how she hasn't possibly noticed that all around them, there were only couples, giggling, batting eyelashes, entwining hands and tails, whispering sweet nothings and exchanging kisses.
The line moved, and soon, they were sat on a wooden little boat with a large heart in front, with several smaller hearts adorning it, and a bow and heart arrow decorating it. It was heavily red and pink, screaming cliché romance and Miyeon absolutely loved it.
They embarked, Miyeon still clinging to Kohara's arms, but her commentary now was all about how excited she was, how pretty the Tunnel of Love looked, and how Kohara was oh so sweet to help her in her journey for true love (once again).
The ride started, and Koyeon only just managed to quiet her commentary to small gasps and squeals of excitement when they started to move, going into the dark tunnel.
Inside it, the lighting was incredibly low, and, once again, red. There were several heart shaped cutouts, and statuettes of barely dressed buns kissing, or shooting arrows. Gauzy fabric covered the ceiling, and fake grass with even faker plants was on either side of the river the boat floated on.
Miyeon ooh'ed and aaah'ed at everything, randomly squeezing Kohara's hand when something caught her eye.
When the day's light could be seen coming from the end of the ride, Miyeon hummed, a little confused, but kept quiet.
They got off the boat, with Kohara helping her by extending a hand. She looked a little shocked by it, as if just now noticing Kohara had been there with her. Xe was a little offended, but Miyeon reached out and laced their fingers together as they walked away from the crowd gathered at the exit of the ride.
She was too quiet, so Kohara broke the silence, "Sorry you didn't find your soulmate there."
Miyeon shrugged, "It's fine, I have you with me, don't I?"
And fuck! When will Miyeon realize the weight of her words, huh?! Kohara's face flushes a deep dark shade, and they forcefully turn it away so Miyeon can't see the effect that her casual affection has on them.
"Well!" Xe says, voice nearly cracking, "There's still a lot to do here, we can find you someone on another ride or something!"
"Nah," She denies, and squeezes their hands once more, "Having you with me is more than enough. We should go play some games though! Let's go, Hara, win me a plushie!"
And damn it! What else can xe do but accept it? Kohara is going to win her the biggest, fluffiest, prettiest plushie in the entirety of Burrowgatory.
Once again, xe is dragged into Miyeon's love-seeking shenanigans. Luckily, this ends in success for Kohara.
