[January] The beauty of her happiness

New Year had to come with new resolutions so Yingjie decided to take his girlfriend out for dinner. He usually is not much up for dating in the city, it is too crowded, but, she had often asked to do such a date and he decided to start the year with a surprise for her. He had only told her they were going out somewhere, but not where nor why.

He took more time than usual to get ready. Was his usual outfit fine to go eat in a classy restaurant in the city? Did he have to change? He had no idea but the overthinking really bothered him and made him feel so hot that he just ended up deciding to go with his usual clothes. On the way to her place, he stopped by a florist to buy flowers. He was not sure if she liked flowers but most girls do, right..? They had only been dating for about a slightly more than a month so he did not know her that well yet. Only that she was super energetic but could also be childish at times. But she was cute and kind hearted despite her sometimes overreacting, and he really enjoyed her company. When he knocked at her door, she was the prettiest thing. He had seen her more than once but for some reason today she seemed to really have something even more special than she usually did. She was incredibly happy about the date and smiled all the way to the restaurant while talking so much and him listening. He did not mind listening to her all day long. He liked most listening than talking so it fitted him really well. When they arrived, when she saw the restaurant, she shined like a star. He could see in her eyes that she was amazed by the beauty of the place and his heart got warm. He opened the door, let her go first. Once in, he explained to the host that he had made a reservation, and they were taken to a beautiful table by the window overlooking the indoor garden, in the middle of which stood a beautiful a fountain. She kept having stars in her eyes all night long, she did not know where to look. It even kept her quiet at some point, which was something that had never ever happened so far and that he did not know her capable of. The scenery of the restaurant, the atmosphere, the food, everything was amazing. He had to admit that he did not hate it as much as he thought he would. He actually quite enjoyed it, and, he thought, if he could see her this happy and bright every time they would go out that way, then it was definitely worth redoing it from time to time.
