The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm, golden glow over the quiet neighborhood. Markus and Vyre had decided to grab dinner together, a simple evening that had become a small tradition after a certain incident. As they strolled down the tree-lined streets, they made some small talk. Markus had been looking forward to their hang out after a long and tiring day of work. Tonight, he wore a casual, yet effortlessly stylish outfit, making Vyre's heart skip a beat each time he caught himself stealing a glance. Vyre had always admired Markus for his strength and kindness, but he couldn't help wishing for something more…something beyond friendship.

After a few minutes of walking, they reached the little bistro that was just around the corner from their apartment. Soft jazz music played in the background and the sound of chatter became louder when Markus opened the door for them. The aroma of freshly baked bread and sizzling garlic filled the air. It was such a cute and lively place. Perfect for a Friday evening. They settled into a cozy corner booth, facing each other, their eyes locking for a moment that felt like an eternity to Vyre. A waiter stopped by their table to drop off some menus and water before walking away.

"I saw they have a special tonight – Apple-Tossed salad with a sweet berry sauce. Maybe that with some beer would be really nice" he said, leaning slightly across the table as he placed his menu down. Vyre, feeling his cheeks flush, nodded in agreement. "Yeah that sounds really good! I haven’t been here before so…Hmm…I'm not sure what to order" he replied, trying to steady his nerves as he continued to look through the pages of words and images. Even if they had hung out like this before, he still couldn't help but feel like this was a date. Markus just sitting there across from him, looking all handsome and hot and attractive was not good for his heart. Vyre gulped and finally forced himself to pick an item. 

It didn’t take long after ordering for their dinner to arrive. Everything looked good and smelled delicious, at least that made Markus instantly happy. He had been so hungry, so he didn't waste time digging in. The beer especially just hit the spot. Meanwhile Vyre savored each bite, the taste of the caramelized carrots heightened by Markus’s company. It was just perfect~ They enjoyed their meal in each other’s company, talking about little things here and there. Vyre knew Markus was more of a listener so he decided to tell him some work stories while the two ate.

"How about we take a walk in the park?" Markus proposed as they walked out of the Bistro. He raised his arms up a little to stretch, wanting to down the food with a stroll. Vyre nodded eagerly, giving him a soft smile "Sure! Walking after a meal is great for your digestion anyways" The park was just a short walk away. It was a beautiful night anyways and it was only a detour away from their apartment. Markus still had a lot in his mind and he honestly didn’t want to go back home. Having Vyre around and doing these little outings with him was a great distraction. And he didn’t feel so alone. He missed Levi so much but, for now, he had to keep his distance. It was for his own good, “Markus?” Vyre’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts, and he turned his head to the side to look at him as they walked, “Ah, sorry you looked like you had something on your mind” Markus blinked, realizing he had been quiet for a while now, “Sorry. Its nothing” He shook his head, “I was just thinking how much I really enjoy spending time with you”
