Dress Up

To Elowen, the chance to dress up an imp was too cute of an opportunity to pass up! Especially for a silly little imp contest! It was too hard to resist such a thing.

However, she just wasn't sure what imp to dress up! She could dress up her sweet little Bimble, Sylvie, or she could dress up an adorable Lepidaisy! It's such a difficult choice!!

She is pondering her choices- unsure what to do- when her team leader walks up and places a hand on her head with a soft chuckle. 

"Hey there, got somethin' on your mind?"

Elowen's face flushes a little, and she looks off to the side, fidgeting with one of her speckled ears.

"Nothing, really, just trying to decide who I wanna dress up! I could dress up my Sylvie- he would look cute in anything- but also..." They look over to a Lepidaisy sitting on the grass nearby. "I dunno... I think I maybe have a better idea of an outfit for that little guy over there! It's just a hard choice, is all."

Quince's gaze follows Elowen's as she speaks to keep up with the mint bun's line of thought. She gets it- it is tough! Two very precious imps to choose from for this! However, she couldn't help but be interested in what the other had in mind for dressing up one of her pedigree imps.

"If it helps, I am curious about how you'd dress that Lepidaisy. I'm sure it would look adorable with whatever you have planned in here." She replies with a smile, gently patting Elowen on the head- which only causes their face to get warmer.

"Y-you are?!" They ask, a little bit louder than they intended. 

Quince stifles a giggle at the bun's outburst. 'How cute,' She thinks before answering. "Of course! I mean, just based on the fact that you know how to really decorate ice cream, I am positive you'd extend that same level of thought to dress an imp."

"Gosh... That's really sweet of you to say." Elowen smiles sheepishly, remembering the delicious parfait they shared the other day. Damn, now they wanted to do that again- that was a lot of fun. Probably the most fun they've had in a while, honestly. "I honestly was just putting things in the glass and hoping they looked nice."

"Well, you did a damn good job either way!" The taller woman replies, stepping away to grab the winged imp. It makes a tiny, confused sound- unsure why it is being disturbed. She gently pets the creature with her index finger to reassure it. It reminded her of Elowen- but only a little bit. She thinks it may be the soft greens and small stature. Yeah, that's probably it. "Alright, so what is the idea you have for this Lepidaisy?"

"Oh! Uhm..." Elowen looks around, trying to gather her thoughts as if they were anywhere but her head. "Do you have any little sun hats and ribbons? Or maybe little bows? I have an image in my head, but I'm not sure where to go with it."

Quince grins, thinking she has a good idea of the vibe Elowen is trying to go for. "Probably! Follow me back inside, and I am sure we can find something. If not, I'm sure Hutch won't mind us dropping by to see what they have."

Elowen blinks, confused, but follows alongside the tall doll. "You sure..?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"I dunno- It just seems like there's something going on between you two."

"Just a little difference in opinion is all."

"You guys are having a contest about it?" She questions.

"It's all in good fun, don't worry about it."

Elowen isn't sure that Quince is being one hundred percent honest here, but she doesn't know if she should press about it. "Okay, so long as nobody stresses too hard, I guess it would be fiiiiine?"

"Exactly."
