"So, you have met Elaphe." Midicus started, holding out the floral sceil towards Quince. "The singing one's little boyfriend, yes." She acknowledged, giving a little nod. "You mentioned something about gardening, right? And given how strange your sceils' tricks already seem to be, in the best way possible of course, I imagine that this little friend here has some sort of talent for plants." The gluttony succubun then looked behind Midicus slightly before returning her gaze to the male. "And I'll also assume that's why you've turned part of the Team Peach Training Area into a miniature garden." Midicus nodded. "Only for a little bit! Wouldn't be very impressive if Elaphe could only recognize the care patterns for one kind of plant, would it?" Quince shrugged a bit, letting out a noise that was a mix between a huff and a laugh. "I don't know, the idea that a sceil could identify anything like that's pretty impressive to me already."

Quince watched as Midicus pulled out three sets of cards, all with different symbols on them. The first set of cards had images of various levels of crystal-light, ranging from complete darkness to full outdoor light. The second set of cards had images depicting different levels of water, from little to no water at all, to basically waterboarding the poor plant. And the third was a bit more difficult to decipher, but with Quince's agricultural knowledge, she could tell that the symbols represented how fragile the plant was to changes in the environment. One card having the drawing of a plant that was nothing more than a wilted leaf on the ground in response to a breeze, and the other had a plant going through a small tornado without any issues. Elaphe looked over the cards and nodded towards Midicus.

Quince thankfully didn't need to ask so many questions this time around, being able to properly judge how good this imp was at identifying the proper care methods of certain plants. The cards were set in front of Elaphe in their proper stacks, before Midicus reached over and pulled out a small plant in a flower pot. It appeared to be, funnily enough, some sort of sceil plant moved from a larger area to the small container. Midicus snapped his fingers, and Elaphe started to move. They placed down the cards quickly, and as soon as they placed down the last of their chosen three cards, Midicus snapped again, ordering the imp to pause.

Both of the succubuns moved to take a look at the cards. Medium level of light, Low level of water, and extremely strong against changes in the environment. Midicus nodded towards the imp, pulling out his clicker and giving a quick click of approval before pushing the plant towards them, allowing them to slither around and enjoy the feeling of the foliage on their scales.

"Damn, they didn't even get caught up on the misconception that Sceil Plants don't need sunlight. Most succubuns I know still think that, you know." Quince commented, enough to make the pride bun feel... well, pride for his little imp. "Well, if I was training them for this long, I wouldn't expect them to fumble up on such a simple thing. Not to mention how talented they are about this kind of thing already." When Elaphe moved out of the plant, they looked towards Quince, much to her confusion. She in turn looked towards Midicus, who then looked at Elaphe. "I... think that they want you to choose the next plant that they react to, Quince."

She perked up suddenly, looking over the large assortment that Midicus had brought. She couldn't exactly think about it for too long, ending up picking out one of the small succulent plants and placing it in front of Elaphe. "Oh, good choice!" Midicus cheered, moving to snap his fingers yet again. Elaphe seemed to move quicker than the last time, placing down the cards with a great deal of confidence.

Medium Light levels, Medium Water Level, Decently Sensitive. Midicus gave another click, and pushed the succulent closer. Elaphe softly rubbed their face on it. "And, how much light does a succulent need per day?" Quince tilted her head curiously until she saw Elaphe move their tail to look like a number six. "Correct! Six hours of natural light per day! That's an extra treat for you!" Midicus nodded, pulling out a small bottlecap of honey for the sceil. "You know... I'm kind of scared to ask... but how many types of plants does your imp know about to this extent?" Quince questioned, and watched as Midicus counted on his hands... then thought for a bit. "Somewhere around 283? Maybe it's more since the last time I checked."

Quince gave a sigh that was just as exhausted as it was amused. "Why am I not surprised at this point?"
