Training Montage | Sceil Trapeze

Quince watched as Midicus put up the little perches and swinging chains in the small section he had placed out for his imp training. She obviously was a tad bit curious, knowing that the male didn't have any winged imps outside of his fairy sceil. However, said fairy sceil was nowhere to be seen, only the festival sceil wrapping around his ear and making small hissing noises of impatience. She knew that she really shouldn't interrupt... but she was curious, walking over and placing herself to stand a bit away and watch what happened.

Midicus lightly held out his hand toward one of the miniature trapeze bars, allowing Crawly to slither off of his body and cling onto the bar with their tail. Quince moved forward suddenly, as if thinking that she would need the catch the Sceil to keep it from falling, only for the creature to stay on and surprisingly, relax instead of panic with the height they were at. The sound of her boots shuffling on the grass also seemed to be enough to catch Midicus' attention. "Oh! Quince! Do you need something?" The pride bun asked, tilting his head a little. The taller succubun coughed a little, standing up straight and trying to act as if she hadn't been so nervous just moments before. "No, I'm doing fine was just... curious what you were up to over here. Not used to seeing a sceil being trained with uh... bars, like this."

Midicus moved to the side a little, inviting her to get a closer look. Of course, she took the chance to do just that, leaning towards the setup and humming as she looked it over. "Is this... a tiny trapeze bar?" She questioned, and Midicus nodded with a smile. "Sure are! They were actually really cheap, and I wanted to make sure that Crawly had a bunch of them to practice their talent, so I got a decent amount of them." Quince perked up a little with those words. "Wait, so you're saying your sceil can actually use these?" Midicus seemed to find his smile widening even further at the question, moving a little bit more and looking towards Crawly.

The motion seemed to be enough for Crawly to understand what was happening, starting to swing the bar with their body by flailing their form back and forth. The bar quickly got up to a decent swing, Crawly's head being just barely above the level of the next bar over at the peak of the swing. Quince was mesmerized, and that was before Midicus actually made the call for the trick.

He clapped his hands once, and started to speak. "Flip F, Set..." Crawly's body tensed slightly. "Ready..." Their eyes focused directly in front of them. "GO!" Midicus clapped his hands again as the sceil reached the peak of their swing, and Crawly leaped into action, quite literally. Quince watched as the sceil let go of the previous bar and launched towards the next, making a circle around the actual grip and doing a frontflip one time before grabbing onto the new section with their tail.

Midicus gave a little cheer, pulling out a small device from his pocket and tapping it once, giving a little clicking sound before using one finger to pat Crawly's head. "Good job! Perfect execution! And you actually remembered that F stood for Front this time!" Quince couldn't bring herself to speak. That was incredible, and nothing she had ever seen before. These Burrowgatory buns were full of surprises weren't they?

Midicus watched Quince's expression and felt himself get a bit nervous, holding his clicker in his hand and letting his eyes wander away from the large woman. "Was that uh... good enough for the contest, you think? I know it's not really something that most people would do, I just-" Quince interrupted him. "Of course it's good enough! That was amazing! You've got to show me that again!" She spoke, voice loud and staring towards Midicus with some kind of excited glint in her eyes.

"Oh! Well, in that case, I'll show you the routine that me and Crawly have been working on!" A whole routine? Quince was truly being spoiled with excitement at the very thought of it, and when Midicus started instructing Crawly, it only got more exciting. From frontflips to backflips to all sorts of odd ways that a sceil could move in the air, not to mention the portions were they would grab onto two bars only to let them both go and land on a third bar a little bit down. It was the correct amount of impressive skill and terrifying adrenaline that made for not only a good trick, but a damn good show as well. She couldn't understand half of the things that Midicus was saying, but she knew that it all had a purpose- and the two of them had clearly been working on this long enough to have it down to an almost-perfect science. It honestly almost brought a tear to her eye, seeing an imp and their owner work in such perfect harmony.

She could wait a little bit before going back to help some of the others... I'm sure they could understand that she was a very busy person with lots of important training to look over... and it just so happened that some training was more interesting than others.
