With a hop to their step and a bag full to the brim of balloons that jostled to and fro with each excited bound, Timber approached the abode of a familiar friend carrying the cadence of a benevolent gift-giver. While Flauros Usually wasn't the type to do any more than weight training with the well-meaning but incredibly energetic pride bun, considering the heat they surmised that maybe he'd be a little more willing to throw caution to the wind if they were supplying the goods. Trot to a canter to a full stop outside the smaller bun's door, they rocked back and forth impatiently on their heels and rapped their knuckles against the wood. Silence- at least for the first handful of moments, then vague murmuring and rustling could be heard from inside, eventually the gluttony bun making his presence known with a much closer "One moment!" as the door rustled then creaked open.

"FLAUROS!"

Timber exclaimed a little too exuberantly, rattling the other bun who upon further glance seemed a tad more worse off for wear than usual. At the very least he seemed tired, hair that usually remained some semblance of tied up lazily cascading along his shoulders, sweatpants mussed and entirely bereft of a shirt. While they seemed clean enough, there was a notable shed of what looked to be light fur peppering the dark fleece of his pants, and though Timber had approached the man before in various states of undress before, this didn't seem like a client matter. Not that they thought much about it, of course. Tilting his head to one side, he gazed up at the jock, rubbing idly at the back of his neck as he spoke up with a yawn.

"mmmyeah? What's up Timbs?"

"WATER BALLOONS!" They piped up, again, startlingly chipper, Flauros jolting at the exclamation. "You know- Get a little work out in while beating the heat and all? Interested? I'm buying-"

"Sorry I'm, busy right now. Not really the type for combat sports either. If you wanna wear yourself out in the heat though be my guest? But I'll stay in the shade." The last words no more than a murmur as he closes the door, the click and latch cutting the air as Timber then stood there in relative silence.

"...Ah. Well. Seeya around then!" Damn, really thought that would have worked. Oh well! Turning on a heel and slumping to a sit against the nearest wall, they proceeded to open their pack in thought, nabbing a water balloon and coasting it idly from hand to hand as if it were a tool for divining. No use putting these to waste, and sure they Had other friends who would appreciate the work put in at the very least-

Mulling about their own thoughts they hadn't noticed the rustling of the foliage in the burrows, a foolish mistake. The next thing they knew, a shot of ice cold water that seemed to come from nowhere spritzed them in the face. Jolting at the sensation, they wiped away the frigid water with a chuckle, eyes curiously darting around to catch a glimpse of the assailant. Tossing the balloon in their hand idly a few times they stand, notably perked up.

"...Hello?"

It definitely wasn't Flauros. He was off doing,, whatever and wouldn't have made it out here unnoticed. And they didn't See anyone, though Flauros' home toted impressive natural foliage, odd considering that despite growing petals of his own he didn't seem like a plant sort of guy. Which means, someone had to be taking care of the bushes. Said bushes... the only Real cover...

Pursing their lips, Timber cocked an arm back, eyes trained on the rose and bougainvillea. The hazeblooms were long out of season, though their pillars still stood, and the only larger shrubbery bereft of thorns. Watching, waiting for their opponent to make one wrong move.

And there it seemed, a rustle from the blooms, Got 'em. Winding back to throw a pitch, balloon swiftly pelting whatever poor sod had the misfortune of laying in wait. And out darted out- a startled and rather soaked streak of white, one at first glance could be mistaken for a bun but it's four hooved gallop and lithe frame swiftly debunked that notion.

A uniquor? What's one doing all the way out here?..

A question that didn't persist long, as Timber stood there with bewilderment they were swiftly darted by another spray- this one much easier to track. It was.. Up? Peering atop the treeline there, with scrutiny, beads of glowing light floated in the space within the canopy. A collection assumed to be a colony of small imps but on second glance these dancing will'o'wisps were connected by a singular form.

"You've brought balloons to a water gun fight, soldier." Piped up a bubbly tone, the bright winged bun dropping down from the branch from which they camped at, not missing a beat before tossing Timber a fluorescent soaker- Likely the one she had just pelted them with prior, though it's twin remained holstered to her side. Sibyl offered a long stretch with a pleased little mrrp sound, then taking the double barreled implement and pointing it at the pride bun again with a capricious smirk.

"So? What'll it be then?"

Lips curled into a smile, Timber raised the soaker, mulling it over in their hands for a moment. they clicked their tongue, immediately assuming a battle ready position and spraying Sibyl heartily with the water gun.

"You're on."

The day winded on, shrieks and expletives bubbled through the yard as the two succubuns made righteous enemies of each other for the moment. The afternoon heat waned against icy splashes and smears of muddied ground, the two eventually barreling down to the floor in exasperated laughter. Catching their breath interspersed with giggles, the fae sloth bun dropped his weapon, drawing a hand against the now softened earth and firmly planting a slough of mud against Timber's skin. Eyes closed, they darted up with a "Hey!" disposition not lasting however as they reached down themselves to grab two fistfuls of mud and smear it down Sibyl's sides.

And just like that they were on one another again, more crawling about on the ground than their previous escapades due to how worn down they were already. More or less, Actually on each other, clothes absolutely ruined by this point though neither cared to notice how lacquered against their skin they had become with the spray of water and dirt. Reaching a fever pitch, Sibyl took timber's shoulders and just about straddled the other bun, smearing muddy markings along their face and shoulders as the two became lost in their little world.

"If you guys don't want to catch a cold you can come in when you're done- but you're cleaning off outside."

Right. That's right they weren't. On their own property.

Clearing their throat and wordlessly scooting Sibyl off their lap, Timber nodded and turned to catch Flauros standing not a couple feet from the two, the bun atop him wasting no time to dart off.

"Of course!! You sure you don't wanna-"

SPLASH. As an entire bucket of water upended over Timber's head. Flauros wielding the now empty bucket against his hip as he burst out into a rolling chuckle, lolling his head to the side cheekily with a shrug.

"Alright. Maybe for a little."
