Fashion Forward

Tsubaki stared at herself in the mirror with pursed lips. She had dressed herself in her normal style: patterned dress, hair down, so why didn’t she like it all of a sudden? Perhaps she needed to mix it up and try something new for today. It was a bit disappointing that she decided this after already taking all the time to get ready, but at least she wouldn’t have to redo everything. Her makeup could stay at the very least. 

Undoing her dress, Tsubaki let it drop around her hooves and she stepped out of it, searching around her wardrobe for what she wanted to wear. Skirt? No. Suit? No. Sweater? No. Tsubaki kept sorting through her hangers until she finally stopped on something. Taking out the hanger, Tsubaki carefully removed the top, placing the empty hanger back on the rack before pulling the top over her head. It was a simple crop top, one that showed off the toned muscles of her stomach as well as her shoulders. It looked quite good on her, she had to admit. Now she just needed some pants to pair with it.

This time, Tsubaki knew exactly what she was looking for as she browsed her clothes. “Aha, there you are.” She spoke to herself as she pulled out a pair of black business trousers. Stepping into them, she once more examined herself in the mirror. She really liked the look, but it seemed like something was missing…

Frowning and squinting at herself in the mirror, she finally realized it was her hairstyle. Wearing it down was normally what she preferred, but a new outfit called for a new hairstyle to make a new look. Easy enough, she thought. 

Keeping with the simpleness of her clothes, Tsubaki merely tied her hair up for a different but still stylish hairstyle. There was just one more thing she needed to do. Shape-shifting her hooves into feet, Tsubaki looked through her shoe collection until she found a nice pair of heels. This time, when Tsubaki looked at herself in the mirror, she felt satisfied with what she saw. Turning around and striking a few poses for herself just to make sure she was happy with it, she nodded. 

As Tsubaki went about her business for the rest of the day, she found herself getting several compliments as well as attention from others. While she wasn’t sure if she wanted this to be a regular thing or not, she did know that she wanted to try changing up her style more often.
