If one were to ask her, Sachi would confidently say that she was the bun suffering the most that summer. She had even grown too tired to do her hair that day, just letting it hang in twin pigtails, instead of the usual dango shape– she just simply couldn't be bothered.

Still, when Taho asked if she wanted to go out shopping, she didn't hesitate to say yes despite how much of a couch potato she had become. She excitedly changed and grabbed her cute imp backpack she had been gifted, making sure her wallet was packed.

She was pleasantly surprised to arrive and see that Affogato would be joining them as well, especially since she thought Affogato looked like an adorable kitten. The more buns the merrier!

They hopped from store to store, and with each stop, Sachi found that her wallet grew lighter as the bags in her arms multiplied.

Jewelry, shoes, clothes, electronics, and even stationary were added to her purchases as fast as they caught her eye. A particular visit to a store selling kitchenware held all three of them for nearly an hour as Taho perused, judged, and eventually left without buying anything.

"All of these are outdated," she had declared once they had walked down all the aisles at least three times. "My stuff is way better, let's just go!"

Sachi exchanged a look with Affogato, making the other bun snicker and giggle. Taho was always so sweet and nice, it was a pleasant change to see her so judgemental and flippant.

They made a stop for lunch, and the amount of bags the three of them had required them to get the largest booth they could just so they could all fit comfortably.

Lunch went by peacefully as they leisurely sat in their chairs, just talking without paying much attention to how much time they did so.

It was well into the afternoon when they finally went back to shopping, fully refreshed from the break they took.

"Oh, can we stop here?" Taho asked, coming to a stop in front of a large shop. "I need a new swimsuit."

And so, they reached what Sachi would later deem the highlight of their shopping trip. 

She cracked her knuckles, and gleefully got to work, picking all sorts of swimsuits that she was adamant both Taho and Affogato try on. They quickly did the same, loading their arms with piece after piece, not letting the others peek even once until they were all ready to try out the swimsuits.

It was a bit messy as they each handed the other the pieces collected, garnering reactions from blushes to full-blown ugly snorts.

They got three stalls close to one another and changed to the first of many pieces.

"Is everyone done?" Affogato asked, laughter in their tone.

"Y-yeah." The stutter in Taho's voice already told her that her eyes would feast on whatever she was wearing.

"Yes!" Sachi replied and, on Affogato's count, all three of them left their stalls.

She wore a sweet angel-themed bikini. It was white, with frills on the top and bottom pieces that moved with the slightest breath. 

Affogato had put on the ugliest wetsuit Sachi had ever seen– one of the pieces she picked as a joke. It was a gaudy shade of orange with green and blue accents that covered them from neck to ankle, complete with a matching cap. She couldn't physically stop laughing the whole time she looked at them.

Taho, however… this must've been one of Affogato's picks. It was a simple black swimsuit with a mostly open center, with crisscrossing straps hugging tight against her body. Taho's breasts were being held inside the piece by pure hopes and dreams, but even still they spilled through the fabric. Sachi had to stop herself from asking if bun needed help holding them up.

"Oh wow. Do you need help holding those up?" Affogato asked as if they had read Sachi's mind. Or maybe that was just the most natural reaction to seeing Taho wear such a decadent piece.

Taho blushed as bun pulled on the straps that dug slightly into her skin. "Does it look good?" Bun asked, adverting bun’s gaze to focus instead on a nearby wall.

It took all the strength in Sachi's body to not jump her.

"Good is an understatement. You are buying that," she directed as Affogato nodded in solidarity. The two of them spent the next several minutes convincing her of it, completely ignoring the many other pieces they all had to try.

Eventually, Taho conceded, though mostly so that bun could flee to the changing stall to avoid onlookers’ gazes of admiration.

This was a case of love at first swimsuit, and both Sachi and Affogato were proof that such a thing was real.
