Algae Swamp and the care of Imps.

They had spent all of yesterday working and practicing how they were going to convince Hutch to allow them access to the imps under their care. Thankfully, Algae already had imps to use as an example of how great they are at taking care of imps.  So Algae had prepared  a slideshow presentation, she had even taken new pictures for it, because of all the work that went into it was hers and hers online. As this was a personal project neither of her housemates were involved; Dusty and Rain Bow never had the free time for small projects like this. Especially the kind that could not be profited off of.

This didn't mean that the three of were going to be terrible imp owners, in fact they had even taken in some strays: Pet'l the Lovedrunk Enrose,  Bimbo the Bimble, and Babet the Lunar Rabebe.

Even though Bimbo was the only one that was actually Algae's, the care and upkeep of the imps was shared amongst the housemates. It was easier on everyone if they attached the imp care as part of the shared chores chart. It kept the imp's a set and regular feeding schedule, which everyone knew was better for an imp's overall health, regardless of which owner was working early or late. 

That wasn't the point though right now-- 

Algae ended up taking Bimbo with her to the shop for the interview; as both visible proof that she could care for an imp and because having Bimbo around made her feel more at ease. There was something about their round and fuzzy bug body that sensory soothing when Algae pet them. Because it was a special occasion, Algae and Bimbo had dressed up, and she made sure that the two of them were wearing matching black hats. 

Given that Bimbo was trained to keep close to Algae when they left the house together, they were content to rest on Algae's shoulder for the duration of the trip.   

 After getting to the shop though, they had immediately perked up, and once Algae had given them the 'it's okay' signal,  Bimbo wandered off to play with the other imps and explore. 

Bimbo was a very passive imp, choosing to let the more energetic imps trample over and nibble on them. She knew that they wouldn't be an instigator, but for Bimbo's safety, she kept a close eye on them as she waited for Hutch to be free. 

There were other owners and potential owners wandering around the shop so Algae had to be content with watching Hatch wander between customers until it was time for her interview. 

It wasn't a long wait either, after Hutch had caught sight of them waiting they had rushed over to pull Algae into the backroom. Algae was quick to set up for the interview either, using her own personal laptop to show off her presentation. It wasn't anything too elaborate and given the fact hey were doing this in the middle of the shop, surrounded by imps, meant they didn't need anything too fancy to impress Hutch in her opinion. 

"Don't worry, I didn't make the presentation very long, the majority of it was mainly pictures anyway," she gestures with a wave of her hand, "I just need to show that I'm a capable imp owner."

The first slide is a picture of Bimbo, Pet'l and Babet cuddling with on a pillow, with arrows and title cards pointing to which one is which.

"My housemates and I, have taken in 3 imps already. No one had come forward after we put found imp posters, so we ended up keeping them. As you can see in this picture, they are happy and health."

The next 3 slides are more pictures of the for mentioned imps. All of which are happy and thriving under the care of the trio. 

"I am my own boss, as a I run my own business and even though I am living with two other buns, I have the excess income to buy needed supplies and food for any imps I adopt from here."

This slide has a pictures of Algae working. Most notably being Algae standing in front of a wall of clear storage shelves; some of the products can be clearly identified because of the way she had labeled the shelves, while others can't be seen because of the distance they are from the camera. 

"Once again, highlighting how well Bimbo here," She points over at Bimbo who is enjoying a nice cuddle session with a corvus imp, "--is thriving under my care, since I've had this career for at least 5 years now, and not once has my source of income fallen short. Even if a emergency situation should occur--"

The following slide is a picture of Algae with Dusty and Rain Bow.

"I have my 2 housemates to help support not only myself, but any imps that are under our care." 

Algae pauses her presentation as Bimbo has wandered back to her side, once again perching on her shoulder to curl up on her neck.

"If I was terrible imp carer, Bimbo would not be as attached to me as they are... and given their temperament with strange-unknown imps as you saw, you know they have been socialized properly with Pet'l and Babet."

She continues the presentation, clicking through pictures and pictures of the three imps once again, sometimes with her housemates present and sometimes not. The imps are in various stages of contentment: sleeping in cute positions together, snaking on treats, and playing with toys.

"We have recently moved into a bigger penthouse now, and with the bigger space, we can accommodate more imps in our lives. Not to say we'd take in more than we can care for, be we want more than 3 imps in our lives. Especially if we can take in more strays..."

The slideshow ends with a final picture of the three imps dressed up; all of them wearing outfits that match the ones their owners usually wear, Bimbo proudly wearing the same hat they are wearing today. 

"Look at their little faces-- don't they deserve more tiny friends?"
