[Gift] Dealing With Dan The Dango Man
“PLEASE!” Diesel screamed as he flopped over Elio as the other tried to read his book while relaxing in a local coffee shop. He was trying to sip his black coffee with screamer, but Diesel kept crawling all over him like an annoying, needy child that he had to put the cup down for fear of spilling it on him.
If he was honest though, he did think about just tipping the entire mug of piping hot liquid on top of Diesel - but that would be mean, wouldn’t it?
“For hell’s sake Diesel, I’m not cleaning up your mess, apologize to Dan yourself,” Elio growled and slapped the other away only to look down at the teary-eyed Succubun.
“Pleasseee…I’ll never be able to taste his delicious dango again, you have to help, you’re friends with him,” Diesel begged looking quickly to Axel who was heading for Elio’s coffee. Axel stopped what he was doing and looked up at Elio too, the bumble’s eyes wide and pleading.
Elio sighed and closed his book sharply.
“Fine, but I swear to the demons Diesel, you owe me one,” Elio growled and got up from his comfy chair and left the café.
He sauntered over to Dan’s Dango and gave a gentle wave as he approached.
“Quiet today?” he asked as he took out his wallet and ordered a strawberry dango for himself to enjoy while they chatted.
“Just a little, I’m sure it’ll pick up,” Dan replied as he took the money and started making the fiery bun’s order. He placed each mochi perfectly on the dango stick and lay it on a little container before drizzling it in thick, sweet and delicious strawberry sauce.
“Thank you,” Elio said as he took his freshly made dango and took a bite. Mmmm, it was so delightful! So tasty, so scrumptious.
Okay, he could see why Diesel would be upset if he could no longer get his paws on this tasty treat!
“Say Dan, why don’t you let Diesel round here anymore?” he asked him, pretending to be oblivious to the chaos the other had caused the dango maker. Dan gave an annoyed look but Elio continued.
“You know, he’s quite torn up about the whole thing, and it’s getting on my nerves. He sobs and is always asking for me to buy him dango, but of course I haven’t,” Elio continued finishing off his dango and placing it in the bin beside the stand.
“He owes me a lot of money, and he’s robbed me before!” Dan growled in response and Elio nodded sympathetically.
“Diesel is a pain like that, but he is a good guy, deep..deep…deep down, how about I pay off his tab and you maybe let him come by once a week - with payment I’ll make sure he knows,” Elio suggested.
Dan sighed and nodded.
“Alright, once a week, but this is his last chance,” Dan said clearly and sternly. Elio grinned and nodded.
“Of course, last chance, thanks Dan, you’re a star,” he said with a grin, he paid what Diesel owed (which was a lot!) and gave him a wave goodbye before heading back over to where Diesel and his imp were waiting.
“Well?” Dan asked and Elio sighed, paws on hips.
“You get one visit a week, I paid off your debt so you owe me big time Diesel, if you screw this up, I swear on hell I will burn you to a crisp,” Elio hissed his flames fluttering violently. Diesel nodded quickly.
“Okay, okay, I won’t mess it up, I’ll be good, I promise,” he said holding up a hand.
“You better, now go get me another coffee, I see Axel has drank mine,” he growled and Axel looked away, not making eye contact with the fiery succubun.
“Yes boss!” Diesel shouted and scuttled away.
Elio sighed, at least this was over. Now he could finally enjoy his book.
