Some days, Kohara had enough. Everything was too much, too wrong, too loud, too rough, too upsetting. Today was one such day.

All they wanted was to buy some of their favorite sweets, get home and burry themselves under as many comfortable covers and pillows xe could.

Unfortunately, that was harder said than done. Dan, miraculously, wasn't in his shop, which by itself would be enough to get tears brimming Kohara's eyes if xe was a weaker bun. As if to add salt to the wound, Kohara's key broke inside the lock to the front door, which meant they were locked outside of their own home.

Miyeon wasn't there either, occupied on a date, so she couldn't open the door for xyr, and a locksmith would take over two hours to get there and fix it.

So, all in all, it was a horrible, terrible, shitty day.

Xe decided to try Dan's shop once more, hoping that he would've come back to the shop.

No luck there though.

However, not all was lost! Shibani must've heard Kohara fiddling with Dan's front door, and the noise was enough to wake him up from a nap.

Kohara could only imagine how terrible they looked and what a shock it must've been to Shibani to see them in such a sorry state.

He yawned, and it made Kohara's mouth twitch to replicate it, "Kohara?" He asked, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, "Dan's not here today. He's dealing with some suppliers or something, so there's no mochi."

Xe was a constant enough customer to the shop that even Shibani, regardless of how little time he spent being out and about, knew about it, going as far as knowing some of xyr favorites.

Their face must've shown just how devastating their day had been so far, because soon enough, Shibani held one of Kohara's hands softly in between his own and guides them inside, speaking softly all the while.

"Dan will be back in a few hours, you can wait inside until then." Shibani said, "I know it's not what you were hoping for, but you can nap in the meantime."

Shibani yawns, and this time Kohara can't help but copy it with a yawn of their own. Xe nods, and Shibani gives them a sweet smile, before guiding them further back into the shop where he gives Kohara's the first glimmer of hope so far into their terribly gloomy day.

A den. Piles upon piles of pillows and blankets, in different sizes and textures, but all in soft colors, easy on the eyes.

It's a kindness sweet enough to bring tears to their eyes.

Shibani lays down first, already snuggling at the center of the pile, looking so cozy and comfortable that Kohara isn't even completely aware of xyr actions until xe was cuddled against Shibani's chest, curled in a tiny ball.

In moments, Kohara is asleep.

They wake up only hours later, still cuddled against Shibani. Shibani himself is still asleep, snoring softly against them, chest rising and falling steadily.

Kohara yawns, and seeing as they're still drowsy, xe sees no reason as to why they should get up right then and there.

Shibani is soft and the bed is comfortable. The room is quiet and warm, and Kohara can't find a single reason as to why they should get up and go home at that moment.

Their breathing slows down again as they sigh with content and draw impossibly closer to xyr cuddle buddy.

Xe should do this more often. Shibani clearly doesn't mind, and while the weight and warmth of his body isn't the same as what Kohara's used to, it's still nice in its own way.

Now they have even more reason to swing by Dan's shop. Other than the sweets and the friendship xe and Dan share, Kohara just found themselves a soft and secret spot for a nice nap, and an incredibly cuddly new friend.

Stressed, overwhelmed and upset, Kohara finds themselves in an unexpected, but welcome situation.
