great time to get some tan lines

When their roommate asked if Kohara wanted to go swimsuit shopping, xe imagined that they'd stay sitting outside the changing rooms and offer their opinion on the sets she chose.

That couldn't have been farther from what she had planned.

When Kohara was made to sit while Miyeon picked the swimsuits she wanted to try on, they were quickly dragged to the several swimsuit racks displayed in the center of the shop.

They picked at random for themselves, paying more attention to the color than to anything else. It wasn't until moments later when xe caught Miyeon eyeing what they had in hands with a curious gleam that xe noticed what, exactly xe held in hands.

And while, yes, there were a few normal trunks in the midst, they noticed that there was quite a few pairs of revealing monokinis and bikinis mixed in.

They didn't have anything against dressing in typically feminine clothing but this… Wasn't in xyr plans.

Thus this is how Kohara found xemself wearing a black monokini that should honestly be called minikini due to how little it actually covered. Not that they were complaining much, this was actually very much their style, but it did have the terrible horrible consequence of making Miyeon want to match.

Kohara would normally be more than happy to see their Miyeon dressed similarly to them, but she had plans for them both to hit the beach in their new attire.

Xe couldn't let anyone see Miyeon looking so good.

With a (not quite) heavy heart, Kohara picked the ugliest and longest swimsuit they could find. Miyeon would have to forgive them, but Kohara's poor heart could only take seeing her being flirted with so much.

"Kohara?" They heard Miyeon's voice coming from the stall, "Uh, is this really what you think is best…?"

"Yes." Xe answered. No one is going to lustfully gaze at what's mine.

"...Okay…" She answered, unsure, and that sent a twinge of pain to Kohara's chest, "I'm coming out then!"

And fuck. Even in the ugliest full body swimsuit Miyeon managed to look so cute. How was that fair?!

"Sooo…" She asked, and twirled, wings fluttering and curls and ears bouncing with the fast movement, "What do you think?"

Adorable. Xe thought, but knew that wasn't what she wanted to hear. They also knew that what Miyeon really had liked was a purple bikini.

Sighing, they shook their head. "The purple with the crisscross was the best, you should get that one."

Her face lit up immediately, and she giggled while running back to the changing stall to grab it.

"Put on your clothes and let's pay for these, Miyeon, I'm tired of trying on swimwear." Kohara said, loudly, while heading to the neighboring stall to do the same.

It was about time they wrapped up their shopping and hit the beach anyway.

The beach was brimming with buns. Stalls of ice cream, shrimp, drinks, hot dogs and buttery corn were spread along the sand portion of the beach as far as they could see.

Kohara had caved and bought the simple black monokini xe had liked best, and they already could picture the thin stripes of untanned skin that it would leave across xyr stomach, chest and back. They wore it with a dark purple sarong with little stars decorated on the fabric tied around their hips, with dark glasses already on their face, carrying a simple bag with necessities such as water, a towel and earbuds.

Miyeon, on the other hand... She had grabbed nearly everything she could think of and brought it along with her to the beach. She carried a beach ball, a donut floaty, as much food as she could possibly put in her bag and a cooler filled with drinks.

She looked… Scrumptious, to say the least. The top of the bikini was a classic triangle shape covering the nipples, its shape letting her voluptuous chest spill from the sides, a crisscross right beneath it, accentuating her waist, in a full purple color with delicate cracks of pink decorating it, matching the crystals around her. The bottom was also a classic, tying at the sides, striped horizontally in large strips of black and gold.

Kohara got a headache just by looking at her. Xe already saw how other buns around them looked at Miyeon in interest. This… would not be the calm afternoon at the beach that they had hoped for huh.

Miyeon bounced happily as she walked, looking for the perfect spot to settle down, eyes jumping from bun to bun, humming at the ones she found attractive.

Kohara scowled. This is exactly what they didn't want.

"C'mon Kohara! Let's settle down and go for a swim!"

Xe could never say no to her.

Finding a place took less time than they imagined, and soon, Miyeon was dragging them into the sea.

The sand clumped under their hooves, but the sea's water washed it away in a moment's notice.

Miyeon hid under the water, jumping behind Kohara with a yell, dunking them both while laughing. They tried to scowl, but it was hard to do so when she was laughing so happily at them.

They walked along the shore, found conches and shells and some critters that made them both jump back, before finally going back to the spot they had left their things on.

Much later, as xe laid down on a beach towel to rest and ate some of the chips Miyeon had brought along, Kohara silently admitted that it hadn't been that bad.

They had built lumpy sand castles together. Kohara had filled theirs with as many shells as xe had found, while Miyeon stubbornly attempted to attach a gigantic princess tower to her sand castle. She did not succeed, but the quick promise of some cold drinks took care of her disappointment at the destruction of her castle.

As annoyed as Kohara was at having to endure seeing Miyeon flirt and be flirted with all afternoon, the bright smile on her face and the knowledge that they were the reason for it, was worth xyr own woes.
