A Necklace for some Holy Water

"A blessing?" Mercy scoffed, as she darted around the room, keeping an eye on sleeping baby bunns and organizing supplies, "I don't have time for blessing water, can't you see I'm busy?"

Andy and Shibani glance at each other for a moment, before Andy nods her head in encouragement. Shibani gulps before turning back to Mercy, "I need it for Dan's recipe for the perfect mochi! Is there no possible way you could spare some time for us?"

Mercy finally stops in the middle of the room to study them. Shibani and Andy both squirm a bit under her gaze before she finally glances off to the side, "I suppose if you could donate to the bunnery then I won't have to go around finding another donator."

Andy's eyes widen, "Neither of you go anywhere!" Mercy opens her mouth in protest but isn't able to say anything before Andy is dashing out of the room on her way to her home just a short walk - well ok maybe she'd need to run it - away. She rushes through her front door and into her room, digging around in her jewelry chest before - Aha! - pulling out one of her mentor's old necklaces. It's a chain of beautiful pearls with a silver and gold pendant hanging in the middle with a floral arrangement. She'd inherited several gorgeous, and valuable, pieces of jewelry from her  when she'd given up "all her possessions" and fled to the outer caves in a panic. Andy had rushed after her, but not wanting to get lost herself, had given up the chase rather quickly. She missed her deeply these days.

Andy shook her head to get herself out of her reverie. Now was not the time to lose focus! Shibani needed this more than she did, especially because... well if she was being honest she kind of hated this particular necklace and had been looking for a way to get some better use out of it. She dug around her home a little more to find a nice little box and some tulle to make the necklace look extra good for Mercy, before taking off back for the bunnery.

There she found Shibani still sitting frozen in the same spot like he was scared to move, but Mercy was still bustling around clearly trying to get things done. When Andy closed the door, she turned on a dime glaring, "You just left him here! He's been in my way this whole time! You better have brought something good to make up for the time I've lost scampering around as well as the time I'll need to bless some water for you."

"Of course, of course!!" Andy said bounding up to Mercy with the box, "I haven't brought carats but I've brought something worth lots of them! You can keep it of course, but I'm sure someone as clever as you could manage to sell it, not just for what it's worth, but maybe even more!" Andy made sure to put the butter on as heavily as she could manage for Mercy. They needed that water!

Mercy smiled very slightly for the first time since they'd begun their conversation, "Oh well, you're absolutely right of course, I can always get quite a bit for things, but they do need to be good stock first. Why don't you show me what you have there?" Andy nodded and held up the box for Mercy to take. She slowly teased up the lid at first, like she was afraid whatever inside was going to bite her, but as she got a glance at the contents, she threw the lid off and it went skittering across the floor. Mercy brought the box up close to her eyes, her eyebrows rising with every passing second - Andy was almost convinced they'd float off her face soon. Before it could happen though, mercy straightened out her expression and slipped the half open box and necklace in a hidden pocket in her robes. "That will do I suppose. Why don't you follow me then?"

Andy and Shibani were quick to follow after her, glancing into the rooms filled with baby bunns as they passed. Finally they arrived in what appeared to be a small kitchenette towards the back of the bunnery. There they found Mercy filling a glass branded with the Church of Sulfer's insignia with water from the sink. "Trust me the source doesn't matter, it's the process." She sits up straight with the bottle from the sink. She stares at Andy and Shibani and the two of them stare expectantly back at her. After a moment Mercy scowls, "Turns around you imbeciles! It's a secret service, I can't have you watching!" The two bunns quickly turn their backs to mercy and glance at each other - Andy can tell she and Shibani are on the same page, Mercy is totally crazy, but a bun's got to do what a bun's got to do. "Alright I'm finished!" She announces a moment later. Andy was skeptical that there would be anything different about the water - but it does appear to give off a faint glow now. How strange. Shibani looks absolutely ecstatic to have gotten his hands on it, and that's what was really important. They walk out of the bunnery with smiles stretched across their faces, and make their way back to Dan's Dango shop, excited for the promise of treats.
