[Gift] Mission Imp-Possible: Jidao's Imp

Jidao stared down at the imp in his hands. 

It was long, fluffy and its eyes stared into the depths of his soul. 

He loved them. 

He’d never thought about having a pet before - they always seemed like too much work. 

But this little infernal ball of cuteness was turning his brain into mush. 

He just wanted to hold it close and never let go!

Jidao looked up as the prideful succubun Hutch continued his talk on imps and how to handle them. 

The green succubun never knew there was so much involved with looking after these little fluffy, scaly, slimy, pointy and mysterious creatures. 

There was such a wide range of imps too. If you didn’t vibe with one type, another would suit your style and lifestyle. 

They Phloof in Jidao’s hands though, he was perfect. 

Before the seminar, Jidao hadn’t really understood why these creatures were getting so popular in Burrowgatory. They were cute, yes, but he didn’t know how others had the time to spend looking after them. But now, he could see that looking after these adorable little bundles of joy were worth it because they gave back hours of entertainment. 

Jidao spent the day with the group, listening and learning from the master imp tamer on how best to look after the individual types of imps that existed in Burrowgatory. 

He never knew so much went into caring for them. 

He took notes, asked questions and partook in demonstrations. He learned what to do when they were sick, how to hold them, how to play with them and even what treats they liked - and what treats they hated!

“Has anybody got any more questions?” Hutch asked the crowd of people. He was happy so many had turned up for his talk. It was vital that succubuns understood the fragility of imps and how to properly care for them. 

So many had been left without homes. Left in shelters or abandoned. It broke his heart!

But now more! No more would imps be left to the side, they would be cared for by owners who actually wanted to love them. That was why he always made sure anybody who wanted to adopt a pet got one from him after partaking in the course.

Jidao’s hand sprang up as he waved it, his other hand petting the imp that had crawled into his lap while another sat on his head.

“Yes Jidao,” Hutch replied.

“Do imps prefer to be the only imp in the house or can we have more than one for company?” he asked curiously.

“Great question, and this entirely depends on the personality of your imp, for example, I have three in my home and we all get along great, but some imps prefer solidarity or to only be loved by you, they can get jealous quite quickly,” Hutch explained and Jidao nodded along. 

He was happy with Jidao, he would definitely be able to take care of a little one. He was so studious, listening to everything he said. Hutch had thought he wouldn’t be up for it when he first walked in but the dedication in the bun’s eyes had him convinced!

“Alright, well, if there are no more questions, I declare that you are all certified to adopt your very own imp, please come talk to me about getting a pet,” Hutch told them and there was a round of applause.

Of course, Jidao was the first up to Hutch with the little one in his hands. He couldn’t wait to bring them home. He would be the best imp parent in all of Burrowgatory.
