The Sweater Bought With Love

Well it's that time of year again as Hubby stood there in the clothing section of a store, his wife was going through a bunch of sweaters trying to find the perfect one for him but the problem is that her sense of taste for cherubmas seasonal sweaters were really awful but he can't say that to her face, she always looks so happy when they looked for them. "What do you think of this one?" they lifted up a bright red one with pom poms all over it and actual tinsel too, he gave a very small smile "Hmm...no I don't think this is the one" they said and put it back on the rack with the others that were much more tolerable.

Hubby loved his wife and love meant wearing the ugliest sweater for her then he'll wear the most horrid of fashionable choices just for her! "Aha! I think i found a winner!" Ginger pulled out a blindingly green sweater with two freigns on the front doing some very personal yoga together, the green was such a heinous color it made his eyes water and what made it worse was that she seemed so proud of it. "Well hubby? isn't this the cutest thing?" someone save him from this as he gave a strained smile "It's something...but what if not that color?" but what's more merry then green like the pine trees!

Ginger tapped a little paw to her bunny chin trying to think "No wait...there might be something even better than this?" you know what he's starting to like the green and it's not THE worst thing around as he reached for it but back on the rack it went. No he should've just taken the horrid green one cause now she's going to find the ultimate ugly sweater, his little paws covered his face "Gingie...every year we do this and I beg you, no more" his plea fell on deaf ears as she held up two sweaters for him. "Now choose Hubby! Left or right?" they were afraid to look but he had to as he put his paws down and felt his insides dry up with how ugly these were.

The designs were the worst he's seen so far and he had to pick the one he'd rather wear more than the other but it was hard as he let out a sigh, the left one had an upside down snowman with the carrot nose drooping down and at the bottom hem of the sweater was a couple of cherubmas baubles and with just enough distance to not make anyone think of dick and balls but if you stare long enough it looks like it. He took a deep breath before looking at the sweater in her right paw, a white sweater with an arctoasty stuffed plush head coming out the front and the back had it's big fluffy tail with a cherubmas wreath around the stuffed imp.

Hubby was doing his best to not groan in disgust at the sight of both, which one was he more willing to wear? in the end he chose the arctoasty sweater and pulled it on, Ginger hugged him and gave his face several kisses "you look like the most dapper little bun to ever roam burrowgatory!" he's hoping a random molotov cocktail hit him leaving him nakey in the winter streets but free from it's ugly sins. "I'll wear anything you want Gingie so can I take it off now?" they said no because they were going to wear it home so everyone can see how nice it is "Now pick my sweater so we can wear them both out" Hubby put his paws on her shoulders "I'm begging you to let me take it off" no dice as they were smooched on the face making him give up.

Ginger was given a nice tasteful sweater, a blue one with some gold and white patterns that won't kill anyone on sight upon viewing, he was willing to wear the ugliest thing ever just for her even if he hates it cause that's what love is about. Both paid for their items and walked on out "Oh! I forgot something inside, I'll be real quick!" they entered the store again leaving him alone to endure the ugliness on his own. He pulled a cigarette out and tried to light the end but his little paws were struggling when someone offered him a light "Here, before the wind blows it out" came a familiar voice.

Hubby looked up and saw minor envy celebrity Jackal but instead of her signature leather jacket she's also wearing an ugly cherubmas sweater, it had real light up spots on the tree on the front and pompoms for baubles with the wonkiest knitted bunny at the front holding a present. "I won't answer any questions about what I'm wearing" fair enough as they took a drag of their cig as both smoked in silence. He figured someone that they cared for gifted them the item and with no other choice had to wear it "Jackal so sorry for making you wait outside!" Dove came out the store wearing a matching outfit.

This answered his question and he was correct about it too which made him smug on the inside "Good luck wearing that thing" Jackal said flicking their butt at the nearby ashtray and leaving with their partner? Hubby wasn't sure if they were dating and didn't care but either way, he put his own cig into the ashtray as well one he finished it just in time as Ginger left the store "I got our imps some sweaters too!" help him as he knows they're going to be taking all the imps with them to get a family picture taken for their cherubmas cards. "Lets go Hubby" time to go home and ignore the stares of all bunnies and pointing of the very ugly sweater he is wearing out of his love for her.
