Cafe
Marshmallow felt like she was in heaven as she sat down onto a plush chair and sipped the cup of warm tea in her paws. After a busy week of non-stop work, she finally had time to stop at her favorite tea shop, Burrow Brewery.
This tea shop had such a cute aesthetic. All the walls were covered in living plants and flowers ranging from shades of green, purple, and pinks. All the tables were cherry wood and the chairs were sturdy and lined with pink cotton pillows. The floor was also covered in an expensive, plush rug and felt amazing on marshmallow’s paws. The delicate scent of various teas also filled the air. Marshmallow could make out the scents of jasmine, lavender, rose, and oolong tea with more wafting in as more teas brewed.
Marshmallow glanced down at her rabebe and smiled. Another thing Marshmallow loved about this place was its incredibly friendly pet policy. Any pet was allowed as long as it was well-behaved. They even gave her rabebe a small dish of water.
Marshmallow sat quietly petting her rabebe as she slowly sipped her tea and watched the door. Another reason why she loved this place was because of the types of buns it attracted. The first bun that came through the door was a smiling Dove who excitedly dragged in Jackal (who was noticeably more hesitant). They looked absolutely adorable together. Next, she saw Satin come in with a journal and beautiful pen. Seems like the bun wanted to take advantage of the nice desks to write.
Marshmallow glanced outside the window and her rabebe followed. The leaves were beginning to turn red and fall outside. Many buns were already bundled up in scarves and heavy jackets. This made her much more aware of how cozy it was inside the shop. She wanted to take advantage of the warmth as long as possible because she stupidly forgot her jacket this morning.
“One pumpkin cheesecake for Marshmallow!,” shouted the cafe employee, which snapped Marshmallow out of her trance. She had ordered a cheesecake earlier, which she had completely forgotten about! That cheesecake was a limited time treat, so she could not resist getting it. The golden swirls in the creamy, white cheese also looked absolutely irresistible. As she got closer to the front of the cafe, she took another look at the glass display filled with all kinds of sweets. Her mouth watered. There were all kinds of sweet treats (her greatest weakness) ranging from blueberry muffins, chocolate chip cookies, permission pie, and even mango pudding. Marshmallow shook her head. She already had a pumpkin cheesecake, so she should not get any more. She finally reached the front and got the cheesecake from the kind employee. The plate was warm and her nose was filled with the amazing scent of sweet pumpkin. Her mouth was watering as she got back to her seat. She handed a small piece to her rabebe, then dug in like a madman. This was the best thing ever.
She wiped off the crumbs from her mouth and took another sip of her tea. Both her and her rabebe were satisfied. She is weirdly happy after that cheesecake despite the awful workweek she had. This cafe never failed to make her day better. She wondered if she should bring her friends over to this cafe. Lucky would definitely enjoy it here, but she is almost never awake during the day. Araziel would also like the food here, but he hated interacting with people, so slim chance. Oh well, it might be best to keep this place to herself… and her rabebe.
