All Sinner's Anniversay Party
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” Fatima asks, standing outside with Mimic, holding a box in her hands.
“Yes. Yes I am. Besides, everybody else is celebrating too and what better way to celebrate than to have a small party with friends and homemade goods?” Mimic replied, holding a few boxes in her arms.
“I suppose, but are you sure he’s home?” Fatima asks curiously.
“He should be… he told me that his shops closed on All Sinner’s Day.” Mimic answered knocking on the door, really hoping she was right or they showed up at his house for no reason.
After a few minutes the door opened and in the way stood a very surprised Peter, his mouth agape as he scanned the two girls.
“Mimic? What are you doing here? And who’s that with you? How… did you find my house?” Peter asked, staring at the girls curiously.
“Hi! This is my friend Fatima! Can we come in? Oh and, Velveteen told us where you lived by the way.” Mimic answered, smiling broadly at Peter.
“They… what? I… I mean sure, come in.” He said, stepping aside.
“How in the hells do you know Velveteen?” He asked, closing the door behind him and locking it.
Mimic blinks a few times, setting the boxes down on the counter before turning her gaze to Fatima, who blushed deeply.
Fatima laughed nervously, setting the box down beside Mimic’s.
“They’re my friend. My best friend. All I had to do was ask.” She replied, smiling softly.
“I know this is an unexpected visit but, Mimic wanted to celebrate All Sinner’s Day with you but as a surprise.
However, we can leave if you want. We don’t want to intrude.” Fatima says, gently rubbing her arm.
Peter looked between the two, then at the boxes, then at the girls again before sighing softly and chuckling.
“It’s alright. Welcome. Make yourselves at home. You two just caught me off guard. I wasn’t expecting any guests tonight.” He replied, glancing at the boxes.
“By the way, what’s in the boxes?”
Mimic beamed, her eyes sparkling as she picked up the boxes and handed them to him.
“These are your gifts! Fatima and I got them for you! We hope you like them.” She said, smiling softly, rocking back and forth on her heels.
“The other one’s a cake that I made. I wasn’t really sure what your favorite was, so I made a strawberry pound cake. I hope that’s alright.”
Peter’s eyes widened for a moment as he took the gift boxes, before softening.
“You two didn’t have to get me anything but thank you.” He says, laughing softly, setting one box down and starting to open it, while Fatima opened the cake box.
“I’ll go get the plates and make some drinks! You like coffee, right Peter? Any kind in particular that you like the most?” Mimic asked, making her way over to the cabinets.
“Yeah. I’m pretty fond of the Affogatail. It’s the perfect mixture of sweet and savory. Especially when you put some chocolate syrup on the ice cream first. Murmur it’s so good.” Peter said, his tail practically swaying as he thought about the delicious taste.
Mimic giggled softly and nodded.
“Alright then, that’s what I’ll make for you! What about you Fatima? Do you want anything to drink? I can probably make something alcoholic if you’d like. I think. It depends on what Peter has in here. I didn’t really bring any drink mixtures.” She said, rubbing the back of her head.
Fatima chuckled softly. “I’ll take an Affogatail if it’s not too much trouble.” She replied, going to grab the plates and utensils instead, while Mimic prepared the drinks.
Peter opened his present and his eyes widened, a soft gasp escaping him as he took it out of the box and looked it over.
“Wow…” A large smile spread across his face. Mimic had gotten him a whole new set of sewing materials in what looked to be a slightly fancy yet simple tool box.
The needles were organized in their own section and there were multiple packs of multi and single colored thread, along with some thimbles.
“Do you like it?” Mimic asked, handing Peter a steaming cup of coffee. “Be careful, it’s hot.”
Peter grinned, setting the box down carefully, taking the cup.
“I love it. These are perfect. The thread looks to be high quality too and the thimbles… where did you get that from? I’ve seen threads like that before but it feels like it’s been a while.
Or, I never really paid much attention to the thread I got.” He says, taking a sip of his coffee.
“I don’t think that’s true. Velveteen told me your clothing is rather high quality and the threads are well-kept. Though, I’ve never really heard of thread being high quality so maybe I’m mistaken.” Fatima says, taking a sip of her coffee and handing Peter a plate of cake.
“Wait, Velveteen showed you the clothes I made them?” Peter asked, a bit surprised but not really.
He’s seen the runway shows Velveteen’s thrown showcasing his products but it had been a while if he was being honest.
Now that he thought about it, how long had it been since he’d seen Velveteen’s runway shows exactly?
“Of course! They’re all stunning and beautiful. I thought a few times about commissioning you myself but I never really had the time.
Which is a shame now that you’ve closed your clothing shop. Maybe in the future.” Fatima replied, picking up the second box and handing it to him.
“Open this one next. I think you’ll like it. At least, I hope so.” She said, chuckling softly.
“It’s not as impressive as the sewing kit Mimic got for you but, I think it’s decent enough.”
Peter took a sip of his coffee then set it down, taking the box from Fatima and shaking it before looking it over and unwrapping it.
He laughed softly, taking the present out of the box.
“This isn’t a real Ribbow is it?” Peter asked.
Fatima laughed softly and shook her head. “No it’s not. I promise. The colors are different, see?” She says, pointing to it.
“This is a plush toy Ribbow created from fabric. I made sure to check. I asked three times before I gave in and bought it.” Fatima says, laughing softly.
“Thank you Fatima. I appreciate the gifts, both of you. You really didn’t have to get me anything.” Peter says, gently patting the toy on its head.
“Oh don’t mention it! It’s the least we could do since we kind of just… showed up at your door without asking first. Even though it was my idea to begin with.” Mimic said, laughing nervously.
“But we’re not done just yet! Who wants to play Who Woo?! It’s a really fun ask and answer game about who you would ask out and why!” Mimic asked, bouncing up and down as she looked between the two.
Fatima and Peter looked at each then at Mimic and chuckled.
“Sure why not?” They both answered, taking their items into the living room.
Soooo, I wanted to kinna spoil Peter again, which means having Mimic and Fatima just show up at his house and having a smol party with just them. XD
