Salvatore, in the Felt!
Oh I have been looking for an excuse to needlefelt one of my buns for a long time and this was the perfect excuse to actually get my ass into gear and do it!
Salvatore (and his wine bottle prop) are needlefelted from a polyfill base with the colored wool layed overtop. I do the polyfill base because I have a whole unch of it and because an all-white base helps me to judge the shape better than if I just started with colors that I might not like by the end. Salvatore's fire is gently felted to give it that wispy and wild texture, but is still matted together to form the gradient as best as I could. Finally, his accents are done with gold point or embroidery. Thank you for this very awesome challenge, I have had so much fun making this lil craft and also looking at all the wonderful crafts this community has made!!! ♥
