[[December]] Dark Night, Warm Light

All you can see these last days on the burrowgatory were the beautiful lights decorating the place, from home to home and business from business all the succubuns were excited to use their decorations to light up the darkest night of the year. From little twinkle lights to gorgeous candle arrangements and more all that light sure was one of the most awaited nights of the year.

As for Shibani… well the lights were very pretty and we liked to see when he was awake but… The little luminescent things made it difficult for him to have a great sleep. 

"I'm saying, you should at least decorate the door with some fairy lights" Dan said exasperated

"But they disturb my naps!" Shibani retorted "I like them but I use so much of my energy to decorate that I end up needing a nap" 

"You now how important it is to illuminate this night, everyone does something, even if it is small. You don't wanna to be the Grinch of your neighborhood right?

A grimace colored Shibani's face, yes he didn't want to do that, everyone in there was so sweet and helpful. The prospect of putting some small lights on his home didn't seem like such a big deal after thinking about that. 

"So you will help me right?" 

"Okay, I can help you, but you need to help me search for the fairy lights, geez you sure love pillows I see a sea of those here" 

Shibani responded with a timid smile.

"They're good to sleep with, and I can carry them to a comfortable place… Well, about the lights, I think that I know where they are."

As the house owner suspected the little lights here in the attic, on a dust box, sure that he didn't use them a lot, but it was alarming the amount of dust the item had gathered. He would need to do some cleaning done on the place very soon. 

"Here! It should be enough to decorate the doorframe and maybe the kitchen window. Please avoid decorating the bedroom one, I sleep better on the dark"

It was easy for Dan to do the work. Every year he decorates his store with some ornamental lanterns and fairy lights. They gave a dreamy and exquisite atmosphere for the place, but the succubun always excluded the little pillow pile in the back of the store. Proof of his consideration for the white succubun. 

He was finishing the last touches when Shibani appeared with two mugs on his hands. 

"Here, as a thank you for your work"

Dan accept the hot chocolate that Shibani had offered with a found smile. It had a strong smell of cocoa and cinnamon, just as he liked.

"Thank you, I it will help me a lost, I was already getting cold it's definitely one of the coldest nights of the year"

"Yeah, I figured out that you may need something to warn you as soon as a cold breeze hit me. Care to talk a little inside? He can see the lights from the living room."
