Life's a beach
The teal water lapped at the shore, pulling back in a rush of white foam. Wreckx wasn't used to the beach, he wasn't even accustomed to the outdoors, but it would be a shame for the warm weather to be wasted. He ran cold most of the time, the warmth of the season and the ambient heat from the cave was a welcome adjustment. That didn't stop him from wearing a shirt at the beach though. Really, Ezra should be grateful that he even entertained the idea of swimming enough to wear swim trunks. The fabric was a sort of gold, with white hibiscus flowers. In retrospect, the main color of the trunks was a little too close to Wreckx's skin tone for his liking, but he didn't have an alternative.
Wreckx was seated in a beach chair, the mesh back of it pressing his long lop ears to his back. The tip of his tail was idly drawing little patterns in the sand beneath him. He had his phone on his hand as he idly scrolled through the various articles he'd found. Mostly in new tech releases, he could tell Ezra about it later.
Speaking of, the other bun rolled over on his back mat, showing his ass, though he made a half hearted attempt to use his tail to cover it. He was in a black, strappy two piece that had the illusion of a skirt from the ruffles at its high waist. The top covered far more than necessary of Ezra's front, it was almost like a halter top and it went down to a few inches below his breasts. Whatever amount of skin the front covered, the rest of the top more than made up for it as it was composed of just a few thin, black straps. It consistently gave Wreckx whiplash every time Ezra turned around.
"Are you sure you don't want to come join me in the water?" Ezra asked, languidly stretching and showing off the arch to his back. The Lust bun was still dry, having stayed up on the sand with Wreckx, though Wreckx was under and umbrella and Ezra had chosen to try and get a bit of a tan. The heat was starting to become a little too much, and he would much like to go cool off in the water. "I don't know how you're not sweating."
"I'm just not too hot, I guess." He let his phone rest against his bony chest and looked out past the shade of the umbrella. The sand was a perfect white, the grains fine and soft, yet compact down where the water touched. All in all, perfect for getting in his swim trunks and requiring a thorough cleaning later.
"But what if I need someone to save me?" Ezra asked, batting his lashes and pouting. Wreckx knew that he was being facetious, but that didn't make much of a difference. "I promise it'll just be a quick dip, we can come back out after."
Wreckx looked out at the water. It was fairly calm, and there weren't many other buns there at the moment. He shoved his phone in the duffel bag he brought to use as a beach bag.
"Okay, but not too long." He stood up and held out a hand to pull Ezra up. However he did almost stumble over when Ezra took his hand as intended; Ezra was probably at least one and a half times Wreckx's weight despite their similar heights, Ezra was curvy and Wreckx was closer to skin and bones. The two of them did manage to get on their feet, and headed down the beach towards the water.
The water was chilly, though Ezra had less of an issue with it than Wreckx. The Envy bun had the urge to sneak closer to Ezra, to seek out the warmth that had collected in his body, but he resisted. The water crept up and up, until it was to the buns’ chests. Wreckx gave a little shiver. The top surface of the water was a little warmer than the part by his feet.
“Follow me, there's this cute little nook I saw.” Ezra took Wreckx's hand and led him over across a small length of the water. The two of them came up on a path of rocks where the current wasn't strong at all. Wreckx was impressed by the stillness of the water. Ezra extended his arms and showed Wreckx the hidden spot.
“This is nice.” Wreckx said. He found a little divot in a rock and was able to take a seat on it. It left him up to about his waist in the water. Ezra hopped up onto Wreckx's lap and snuggled into him.
“See? The beach isn't so bad. The private spots are great.” Ezra sighed happily.
With the water softly lapping at their skin, all out of sight of the other beach going buns, Wreckx supposed that it wasn't so bad after all.
