Green Thumb- Watering
It was watering day at Snuggler Supreme’s house. The hazeblooms have been coming in nicely, and it wasn’t too much longer until it would be time to harvest them. But today, it was time to water them again. First things first though, time to get out of bed and go find the watering can. It was likely in the shed, but you never know where things could end up when a sloth bun needs to do something. She left the house and went around back to the shed. She opened the door and found it right where it should’ve been. When she picked it up however, the bottom had rusted out. There goes the easy option.
She looked around for the hose. It should be in here too. With a little searching, Snugs found exactly what she was looking for. A long, grey hose that hopefully wasn’t punctured anywhere. She carried it out and shut the shed door. Around to the side of the house, there was a spigot, that’s where she would connect the hose. She walked up to it, and connected the hose. She then turned the spigot on, only to have water spray from the connection area all over her and the house. She quickly turned the spigot off. It was clear she needed something stronger than just her hands in order to connect this correctly.
She went back to the shed, searching for something. She came across a wrench that just might do the trick. Walking up to the spigot once again, she set the wrench on the connector, and twisted hard. Unfortunately, the wrench got stuck. She yanked and pulled on it, only to make it get more and more stuck. For now though, it was time to try the spigot again. She turned it, slowly this time, on again. Luckily, there was no excess spray this time. She walked around the front, carrying the hose. The hose had no nozzle on it, but as long as she was careful, that shouldn’t be any problem.
Snugs got to the garden and slowly starting watering the hazeblooms. Just a little water was all she needed for each. After watering the flowers, she set the hose down on the side of the garden. She went inside to dry off from the first spray. After making it to the bathroom, she grabbed a towel and dried off. Then she went to sit on the edge of the bed for a minute.
Next thing she knew, she had fallen asleep. She woke up, groggy still, and remembered she had left the hose on next to the hazeblooms. She hurried up and headed toward the door, making to it in record time. Flinging the door open, she saw a large divot in the ground from where the water had kept running the whole time. She walked around to the side of the house and turned off the spigot quickly. Then she headed to the shed to find something to help with the water. In the shed she found a bucket that would work perfectly.
Heading around to the front again, she held the bucket tight. Rounding the corner, she saw that the hose had turned off okay, and was no longer spewing water. The divot however, was fairly large at this point. She would have to bucket the water out, and move it somewhere. A large job for such a small person. Time to get to work.
