Dancing in the rain
It was a warm day in Hell. Snuggler Supreme gazed out of her large bedroom window at the weather outside. Days like today make Snugs want to sleep in. Any days make Snugs want to sleep in. As she lay in bed, she waffled over what to do today. On the one hand, the weather was warm and nice. On the other hand, the bed was cool and comfy. Even though the day looked nice, she could feel in her fluffy fur that it was humid. Possible rain, despite the current conditions outside.
She needed to make a run to Dan’s to get more dango for dinner. As she wondered what to do that day, she slowly got out of bed, and walked to the living room. Now that she was up, she just needed to make it to Dan’s dango. She paused at the door, deciding if she was going to take the umbrella. She decided against it. If it rained, it rained.
Outside it was definitely humid. Her already curly hair was starting to frizz. She slowly shuffled down the street to Dan’s Dango and purchased what she needed. Weather remained calm, no signs of rain yet. Seeing the flowers sprouted, she took a turn into the park. As she smelled around the flowers, she felt a drip against the back of her neck. Drip, drip, drip. Slowly, a warm rain began to come down. The fragrance of the rain and flowers filled Snugs’ senses, making her smile and making her want to dance.
The rain never bothered Snugs, despite it messing up her fur. This rain was so gentle, so calming. Snugs began to dance. Hop up on one foot, down on the other. Hands raised high, welcoming the inclement weather. She smiled, head tilted back, feeling the rain fall on her face. Her fuzzy cheeks began to lose some curl as they were weighed down with the rain. As did the rest of her body. She didn’t care one bit. Frolicking in the rain was something she hadn’t done since she was a young bun. It was something she enjoyed, despite being a rather slothful individual.
As she danced and jumped around, she could feel herself losing energy. The rain weighing down her fluffy little body. She dredged back to her house, slowly. As she reached the door, the rain had started coming down even harder. She was glad she made it back in time before the heavy rain and thunderstorms started. Walking in, she gave a second look at her umbrella, as a wave of nostalgia washed over her from the rain earlier. She was glad she had left the umbrella there. It made her day much better.
She walked into the bathroom, fur sopping wet with rain. The rain squeezed out of her fur until she needed a towel to dry off the rest of the way. A day like this was excited, but draining. After cleaning up, she walked back into her bedroom. Climbing slowly into bed, she felt contented, although feeling like she was forgetting something. She turned on her side to watch the rain through her bedroom windows. Nothing says nap time like a nice thunderstorm outside, after a day of dancing.
Elsewhere, a dripping wet box of dango sat in the park.
