[COLLAB RP] Shall we dance?
Listening to the music as Spring arrives at the ball. Looking around seeing how many buns are around, some dancing some drinking and some just talking. Spring walk over to the bar and get their self a peach hellini sitting down and sipping their drink.
Saber feels at ease amidst all the fancy decor and flashy masks of Angora's party, being as regal and used to the intricacies of the high society as they are — but that doesn't mean they're made of steel. After taking a few buns they'll likely never meet again for some dancing, they head to the bar for a few drinks. It's been pretty fun so far, but there was nothing that couldn't be improved with a few sips of alcohol.
"A hopscotch, please." They order, leaning on the bar. There's nowhere to sit, but it's not like they mind it: That means they can spend some time chatting.
"...Enjoying the party?" An icebreaker for the cute succubun with greed horns sitting next to them.
Looking up at Saber then around thinking they were talking to someone else, spring then look at Saber saying "Um are you talking to me dear sir?" Taking a sip of my drink.
Saber nods, idly tapping the bar table with their nails. They have a small and polite smile on their lips.
"Yes. Who else would it be?" They're right by her side, after all. "Pardon me, I just figured I could spend some time chatting while I wait for my drink. If you're not feeling up for it, I don't really mind staying quiet. I don't want to ruin your break for a peach hellini."
“Oh no, I didn’t mean any offense. I was just saying.” Blushing lightly as Spring wasn’t expecting to be talked to tonight as no one usually talk to them. Finishing up my peach hellini I order another one. “So what bring you here tonight? Mr…?”
Thank goodness. More often than not they find people that don't fall to their charms at all, and are more so repelled by it. Even when they don't mean to flirt, their habits can lead to quite uncomfortable situations. Thankfully that's not the case.
"I'm Saber." Hah, is she blushing already? Is that their fault or the alcohol's? "It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Well, one could say that I'm naturally attracted to this kind of social gathering — It's a lovely place to build connections, meet new people, eat delicious finger food... And it's Angora's party, after all. Last year's party was a tremendous success, so there's no way I'd miss this one." Saber sounds very genuine, even if they're talking to someone they've just met. "What about you, miss?"
“Oh, my name is Spring. I’ve mostly come here to have a dance and drink. Other than that I try to talk some and see if I make any friends and what not.” Smiling as spring fix their hair some as their drink arrives as with your drink too, taking a sip. Looking back at you
“So did you want to get our own table and possibly grab something to eat and maybe dance?” Feeling a bit nervous asking that as buns usually reject when they usually ask.
Saber naturally reaches for the Bourbun they've ordered, mumbling a low "Thank you." in the bartender's direction before taking a sip. They've been needing this.
"Spring is a beautiful name. It fits you." They nod as they listen to her. They can relate for the most part for the reasoning in coming here of all places.
"Well, how forward. Usually I'm the one to invite people for dances." Saber laughs quietly, amused. That surprised them in a positive way. "I'd love to do all of that soon, after we're done with our drinks. Say... You're here by yourself, then? Trying to make new friends?"
Looking away some looking a bit sad.
“Um I usually don’t have someone to go with so I’ve been going solo for a good bit now.” Looking down a bit sad about how that sounded wondering if I should’ve said that or that I might’ve scared you some.
Saber frowns slightly, staying in silence for a while before finally sipping their drink.
"...Really?" They're way too sociable to realize that some people aren't as lucky as them regarding socialization. "My apologies, I didn't mean to make you sad. I'm sorry if that was insensitive of me to ask." It was a genuine question.
A beat of silence passes, and another Bourbun sip. "Well, I can keep you company for the night if you'd let me. I know I'm only a stranger, but my heart aches to see a lady like you all by her own."
“Oh well thank you. I do appreciate it. It wasn’t a sensitive subject per se, it was mostly I didn’t notice how long I have been doing this alone and just took it as normal.” Giggling a bit after taking a sip of the drink and looking over at you liking your personality, starting to consider us as acquaintances. Liking the company too, thinking a bit how I’m glad I came here tonight and happy that the moment happen tonight.
Thinking on what to say next so then the conversation doesn’t go dull spring say “So how often do you dance here?”
"How often?" Saber's eyebrows raise, and they take yet another sip of their Hopscotch. Their glass is almost fully empty by now. "Well... I'd say that as often as nice parties like this one happen. I'm not one for dancing in clubs, so I reserve myself for more... tasteful occasions, like this masquerade." They quietly reminisce about the times some of their friends took them for clubbing and how disastrous that was. They can still feel the headache from all that booze even now.
"I've danced with a few buns already, tonight. It's been lovely so far, but I've parted ways with them already." They didn't get involved enough to bother to exchange contacts, but the night has been really plesant in any case. "What about you, miss Spring?"
"Oh I usually dance more than anything, have a few drinks, Bun have danced with me but that's about it." Spring taking another sip of their peach hellini, looking over at the dance floor not seeing much buns dancing mostly just talking to one another. Some were dancing but seemed like they were bored or did not appear to want to be here. Grabbing your hand I look straight at you in the eyes and ask "W-would you like to dance with me Saber?"
Saber finishes their drink before answering, a little surprised with the sudden invite... And then, they smile.
"A dance?" They hum, pleased, before holding her hand back and pressing a kiss on it's back. "I'd be honored, Spring."
Smiling my eyes widen happily excited my tail wagging blushing a bit from the kiss you gave it, then walking us over to the dance floor as slow music to start to play some, surprised as I look at you wondering if you will still dance with me\
They accompany her to the dance floor side by side, a tiny and proud smirk showing on their lips. "Excuse me." A hand on her back, and another on her hand to get them in position for slow dancing. "Are you ready? I can lead if you'd like."
“Oh, yes I am.” A bit of nervousness in my voice internally screaming on the inside, as I nod wanting you to take the lead not wanting to mess up the moment we currently have.
"Mm." Saber hums, closing their eyes calmly as they smile freely. They're in their element in this dance floor, as they've done these ballroom dances plenty of times. Athough the steps in the dance may be mostly the same, all experiences vary from one another — it's never the same bun at the exacly same time. It's always unique to live this, and that's what they love the most about it. "There's no need to get nervous, okay?" They say, gently swaying their body and leading hers to step to the side. "Just... feel the music, enjoy the moment. ...And follow my lead."
Spring nods as they follows Saber leads the dance. My hands holding on to Saber, Spring feet’s following Saber one by one. Enjoying the music as Spring hums with the music, starting to lean on Saber chest without noticing as when they do they stop themselves instantly. Face turning red Spring looks away quickly embarrassed at they just did basically letting their guard down a bit. “I am so very sorry, Saber! I just got so relaxed with the music and instincts took over.” Spring quickly saying without giving Saber much time to respond.
They lead Spring on the dance floor, guiding her steps with natural ease as the music plays. Even if they've just met, this bun's company had proven to be delightful and even a little surprising at times, which makes it even better for them. They don't really enjoy plain, boring people, and Spring was far from that.
And so, she surprises Saber yet another time. Saber is usually a very calm and collected succubun most of the time, but that scenario was endearing enough for them to giggle softly.
"Your instincts to touch my chest?" They tease while smirking. "It's okay, I don't mind. I'm yours to touch, at least for tonight." Clearly, Saber is having fun with this. They've always been a flirt.
Spring looking at Saber their eyes sparkling some delighted to hear. “Oh my, I guess I’ll take my time with you then.”
Spring showing a small smirk after saying that as Spring leans their head on Saber chest feeling comfortable with Saber thinking that he is truly a nice bun and thinking we might be able to be friends. Song passing by as Spring look up at Saber.
“Well that was a pleasant dance we had.” Spring smiling holding Saber's hand close to mine.
Saber smiles at her, pleased. The two of them had a fun dance, and they also gave Spring some needed company.
"Indeed." Then, they reach for something under their cape. Once they find their pen, they lift Saber's hand to write their number.
"If you want to keep in touch, just give me a call." They wink.
“I will!” Spring smiling blushing some as they walk to the door of ball to get out of the ball as it was getting late for them.
"See you soon!" Saber waves at her, smiling softly as they watch her leave. And once she's gone, they turn their back and head back to somewhere else in the ballroom. They're not going to leave that early, but... they surely won't forget Spring any soon.
