Childhood Memories: Warmth [Shibani]
Shibani sighed as he curled up into his pillows. His mind began drifting off in the moment, thinking about the familiarity of the warmth of the pillow pile when his own body heat seeped into the fluffy material around him. He's loved warmth since he was young. He's pretty sure his first memory was of something cozy and warm surrounding him. Shibani felt safe, yet vulnerable. The memory was very fuzzy -much like he was at the time- but he cherished it. His first memory, his first taste of this world, was full of nothing but warmth, safety, and care; that much he knew. After all, his pillow pile was the best place to relax, minus Dan's arms.
The more he thought about it, the more he realized that Dan brought about that sense of comfort, too, albeit in a different way. The grumpy bun was still a place of safety for Shibani.
"Hmm.." Shibani hummed out loud, flipping over onto his back as he stared up at the ceiling in thought. "Maybe that first memory is something that has always stayed." In a way it amazed him, that something so distant could be remembered so far into his life, even if it was difficult to recall most of it. That core memory was a huge part of who he was today, after all.
Shibani smiled as he buried his face into a pillow with a soft sigh of content. He didn't know where that warmth came from, but he was grateful all the same.
(I couldn't resist the idea that Murmur is a complete and totally sweetie when it comes to the baby buns. Large hands with such careful and cautious movements, but at the same time he's just freaking out over how adorable they are.)
