Pudding and Imp Care
It hasn't been long since she had welcomed Sinclair the chirop into her home. Not long after, Pudding found a ribbow outside her cafe. With two mouths to feed, Pudding thought it best to gain more information. Just yesterday she woke up and Sinclair wasn't black anymore. Since this is her first time owning a imp, she did not know why they change colors or that they even could. At least her chirop looked like a bat so Pudding could try and guess its behavior or habitat needs. However, a ribbow doesn't look like any animal she has seen. Sinclair is very loud about what he wants, the ribbow on the other hand is not as expressive since they just met. Pudding was stumped.
One day as she was walking on the street on her way to her shop, she saw a flyer. The flyer was talking about the Imporium and how it needed some volunteers to help take care of the imps. On the flyer was a phone number and directions to the address. This was great! Finally, answers on how to take care of her new friends. Pudding thought she would give it a try on her next day off.
That Saturday, Pudding walked into the Imporium. There were posters and advertisements of Hutch everywhere. Apparently he was the main imp expert. As she continued walking, Pudding spotted a bun at what she assumed would be the front desk. There would be a good place to start.
Pudding looked at the bun with a collar around their neck and a floating chirop holding the other end.
"Welcome to the Imporium! How can I help you?", said the bun.
Pudding smiled. "I was hoping to learn more about imps".
The bun gave a friendly grin. "Then you have come to the right place. We hold imp seminars for begining companions, volunteer services and imp training at this facility. What would you like to try?".
Pudding debated on it for a minute, but figured it was better to start with the first option since she needs to know more about them.
"I would like to try the imp seminar please".
The bun nodded her head and pointed to the left of her. There read a sign that said "Classroom".
"Just go to your right and the next lecture should start in five minutes".
Pudding nodded and headed into the room. Inside there were many buns sitting and waiting for the lesson to start. Guess she wasn't the only one who didn't know about imps. Not too long as when she sat down, a bun walked to the front and began the lesson. Pudding began to learn that imps were made of magical energy and that they did not need to eat or sleep. This fact puzzled Pudding since her chirop Sinclair loved her chocolate cupcakes.
The professor continued, "Though imps do not need food, it has been found that imps love to snack and try different kinds. We even have evidence that shows what they may eat can even change their appearance".
He then began to show images of imps that have had their new forms recorded from eating special foods. It was even common to buy these special imps at a store called "Pedigree Pets". The teacher then went further into the different breeds of imps that have been found in Burrowgatory. She knew what a ribbow and chirop was because of seeing other buns with them, but there were so many more. The professor then wrapped up with basic care guides and links to specific care known to certain imps. There were even pamphlets for each imp species to help those who already have imps in their house. Pudding of course picked up the pamphlet that read "ribbow" and "chirop". She was very excited to get to know her little friends better.
On her way out of the classroom the front desk bun stopped her.
"By the way miss, if you would like we could also have you sign up for volunteering or imp training".
Pudding walked up to them and looked at the two clipboards placed in front of her. There was a list of times and days she could sign up to help take care of the imps that were rescued or learn how to take care of her imps with some training. She thought it would be best to get some hands on experience since you never know who you might find outside your shop.
"I think I will sign up to volunteer for next Saturday. Would love to know what other kinds of imps there are!".
The chirop holding the buns leash chirped happily. "But of course! We have many slots available and the imps love playing with visitors!!!"
She then turns the page to the saturday section and hands me a pen. I put my name down for the morning shift and start heading out the door.
Sinclair and the ribbow will be so happy when I get back home. Maybe I will make some treats to celebrate!!! Next time I visit I could bring them and maybe they can make some friends too. Will have to ask my roomate Svin if he has ever volunteered at the Imporium. I am excited to play witht the imps, but I also need to limit Sinclair's snack time. Pudding chuckles wondering what kind of imp the ribbow will become. Only time would tell and she was ready to open her cafe with both of her precious friends.
Pudding decides to volunteer at the Imporium to learn more about imp care now that she has two more mouths to feed.
