Zepp's Pillow Fort
“Come on Heimdall, I know you're going to love this.”
He completely cleared off the kitchen table, just shoving the bowls, decorations and placemats that were initially on it haphazardly on the countertop. The imp floated just beside him, watching in the bun work, an almost puzzled expression on its little face. The bun began picking up the four chairs surrounding the table, and they were moved into the corner. “We need whatever we can to cover it now,” he stated, and the bun left the kitchen to fetch every blanket in the house, the small, fluffy stellaram flew down towards the ground, bounced off the tiled floor before landing on its hooves, and began to follow along behind him.
The blankets were pulled out of the two bedrooms of the apartment, just ripped off of the beds, and a couple more were removed from the storage closet. Once he was finished, there were over half a dozen fabric sheets piled up on the kitchen floor. Zepp began to drape them around the table, with Heimdall attempting to help, but the little sheep-like imp couldn't really do much. When they wouldn't stay in place, he went to grab some heavy books off the shelves to act as weights. Once they were done with this, the table more closely resembled a makeshift tent, the walls made up of fabrics of varying textures, colours and materials. The imp stuck its head in between two of them, revealing a dark chamber inside, before promptly getting dragged back out by its owner.
“Okay buddy, I'm gonna need some more help from you first, then we can go inside. Help me start gathering some cushions and pillows.” The pair started in Zepp's own bedroom, the bun himself carrying all the pillows off the bed that could fit in his arms, while the ram imp dragged its own grey, soft fluffy cushion that was its bed. Well, supposed to be, usually at night it was curled up on top of its owner. They were all just dumped in a large pile on the kitchen floor. Once that room was cleared, they moved into Flint's bedroom, doing the same thing to his bed, then tearing all of the decorations cushions off of the living room sofa, pulling every soft, fluffy pillow in the house into the kitchen.
“Okay, now we'll pile 'em up under the table, make a nice soft floor for the place, so we don't need to sit on the hard tiles.” As he was saying this, he pulled one of the blankets up, creating an entrance into the tent-like structure. He began to spread the pillows around inside on the ground, Heimdall doing his best to help. Soon, it was completely filled with the fabric items, creating a soft thick layer above the cold, hard tiles. The imp bounded inside, making itself comfortable, giving a soft happy bleat as it enjoyed the warm, snug and cozy interior of the pillow fort. “Give me a few minutes, some other bits I want to grab, then I'll join ya.”
He brought back some fairy lights, and did his best to string them around the top of the inside of the fort. They didn't hold well, but eh, good enough, they added warm light to the structure, giving it a more homely feeling. Then a couple of bars of chocolate were tossed in, as well as a bag of imp treats. Heimdall attempted to force the bag open to snack on the delicious biscuits, but failed to get it burst open before its owner's return, this time with a mug of hot chocolate in hand. “Oi, what you at?” The imp gave a bleat in annoyance, pulling back away from the bag, as the bun made his way inside, careful not to spill his mug, and sat down next to the stellaram, curling up in his makeshift nest.
He unwrapped one of the bars and began eating it, while sipping away at his mug. Heimdall gave another annoyed bleat, putting a hoof onto his leg. “Hah, give me a minute, I'll get you a treat. Here, hop up.” He finished his bar, as the imp climbed up onto his lap. Once he was done, he carefully balanced the drink on one of the pillows, and opened up the bag of treats, giving one of them to it. Picking up the mug again, he began running his free hand through the sheep’s soft, dark, star dotted woollen coat. Once the cup was drained, he placed it on the ground just outside the entryway, and pulled the blanket down, closing up the door into the tent. He then lay down in the soft cushioned tent, lifting the imp up onto his chest, snuggling it closely, curling up and going to sleep in the snug little burrow he had created under his kitchen table.
