When Sinclair Met Pudding

The morning was sunny with a slight breeze in Burrowgatory. It was the weekend and Pudding was taking out the trash from the night before. Pudding turned her head when she heard small chips behind the trash bin. There she saw an imp that appeared to have wings. The little thing looked so sad. Pudding held out her hand. "Would you like to come with me little one?". The chirop walked over and clung to her arm. Pudding took that as a yes. She cradled the imp into her hands and brough them into her shop. The imps eyes lit up with wonder as it gazed around. It practically zoomed out of her hand when it saw the sweets counter. Pudding wasn't sure if chirops ate or if they did, what food to feed them. She decided to try and offer the babe a cupcake. On the tray was vanilla, chocolate, strawberry and carrot. The chirop immediately dove its face in the chocolate one. Guess the little one had a hankering for darker foods. 

After eating it's cupcake the chirop flew around the shop giving it a quick look over. It stopped and smelled the flowers. It walked into the dressing room for employees. The imp only stopped when it came upon the stairs to the second floor. It looked back at pudding as if to ask permission or ask where it led to. This made pudding laugh. "Up there is my place little one. You may go check it out if you like". 

The little creature flew up the stairs and gently rested itself upon a pink pillow on Pudding's couch. It's soft fluffy texture made the creature almost purr. It rubbed its head and began to fall asleep. Pudding took a blanket from the couch and put a corner over the imp. Who knew imps could be so cute. She had seen some buns with creatures like this, but she never understood why. If all imps were this cute and curious, I guess it wouldn't hurt to have one around the house.

The little imp woke up when Pudding was cooking lunch. Guess the smell of eggs and bacon could wake even the smallest of creatures.  The imp flew and landed on her shoulder. "Would you like some bacon little one?". The imp chirped happily. While feeding the bacon to the imp, Pudding rubbed its head. "If you want to stay here you can, but we should probably find a name to call you". The chirop's tail swung back and forth happily. Pudding tried to pitch names to the imp hoping it would like one. "How abour Rowan? Adair? Kevin?..........Sinclair?". The imp shook its head rapidily until it heard the last name. Pudding repeated, "Sinclair?". It chirped happily. "You must be a weird thing to like that name". She chuckled, "But if you insist". It nuzzled against her leg. Pudding had no idea how to take care of Sinclair, but she would try her best to make them happy. 

That afternoon, Sinclair and Pudding went shopping for all of the latest imp suplies. She bought a fluffy bed, a bird bath, a landing or handling glove, and a imp shampoo meant to make her imp all nice and clean. They were exhausted by the time they got home. They ate apple dumplings with milk. Feeling tired they went into her bedroom. Pudding set the new imp bed next to hers and layed down. The imp looked up at her confused. She waited a minute before looking down. "Did you want to sleep with me?".  Sinclair chirped and flew on the bed. They then began to lay right ontop of Puddings head. "I guess that will do for now", she laughs.

It may have only been their first day together, but they will both remember that day forever. The day Sinclair met Pudding.
