Chocolates for a Sloth

"A police officer, Limon? He works for a group of Public Order-Advocates? Your tastes really are all over the place!" Ione chided lightly as they set down a bag of pumpkin spice coffee blend onto the counter as Limon flushed slightly

"I can't help it okay? He knows what he likes, has snark and is cute.....Not to mention he puts up with my bad non-sexual flirting...."
"They are pretty bad, Limon" Ione snickered as Limon pouted at the jab toward her flirting.

"We get on well and I kind of want to give him some chocolates...."
"What flavours?" Ione shook their head as they went to look at what's been prepared which isn't much.

"Dark chocolate definitely. Thinking of doing one or two alcoholic flavours, one coffee which you brought over and few fruits." Limon counted off her fingers "And I'm going with the 52 assorted box. It'll last few days for sure" she finished off and Ione nodded.

"Pumpkin spice coffee, a strawberry cream with sake, red wine blended with dark chocolate crunch, mango puree, and a blueberry puree with coconut flakes and lemon zest...." Limon hums as she glance to Ione who nods "Those do all sound good. I'll get the coffee started and work on the purees while you deal with the boozey options?"

"I so appreciate you for this, Ione. A true lifesaver."
"......You're just doing this cause you heard about the mess I made while working on that gift for you and you wanted to avoid similar situation especially after that first incident with chocolates for that blind date....." Ione's cheeks pinkened as Limon laughed softly.
"We're both such messes aren't we?" Her voice had inclination of teasing in them that had Ione relaxing with a soft sigh.

"Speaking of, how was that blind date the other night...?" Oh she was curious and Ione rolled her eyes.
"Just someone I knew. Went somewhat okay surprisingly. Through we had spies that entire night. I'll be going back to his place sometime within next few weeks to help out with remodelling the kitchen. It's atrocious."
Limon snorted at that. Ione and their passion for interior décor especially kitchens. She was definitely having better luck with blind dates than her friend but that was to be expected.

"Anything else I should know about?" Ione sighed as they got to work on peeling the mango so it could be diced.

"Oh yeah, I had the most fant-"
"NO SEX TALK YOU LUSTY HEATHEN!" Ione screeched as Limon cackled; having expected that reaction.
"Fine fine!" She laughed softly "I've been experimenting with more floral flavours though. I'll have you try some once I'm fully satisfied."

Ione nodded, understanding wanting perfection before allowing others to sample and to finetune prior to putting out to the public.

The pair worked in mostly silence with the occasional chitter while they got all of fillings prepared. The coffee had been turned into soft chewy filling as well.

They broke away for a quick snack with some sandwiches that Ione had also brought over before resuming working on the chocolates and getting them all filled up. Ione left shortly afterwards and Limon finished up with filling the box and tying it in simple black ribbon.

Grinning to herself, she departed for where she knew the sloth to live with the chocolate box in hand. When she had arrived and tried the door only to find it locked.
"Must still be at work or sleeping....." she mused as she pulled out the spare key she had been given and let herself in. Noticing the lack of shoes near the door, Limon frowned and went to check the bedroom only to find it empty. Sighing, she went back to the kitchen and set the box of chocolates down so she could get the pot of coffee started with two mugs waiting nearby.

By time she had plated two hot grilled sandwiches and filled the two mugs up; she felt arms wrap around her waist and a tail intertwine with hers. Leaning back slightly and looking up at Asmo's tired yet smiling face; Limon giggled softly as he greeted her with

"I see you let yourself in. Work ran late.....You got dinner ready" he observed and Limon pointed to the chocolate box
"I also made you some chocolates. Pumpkin spice coffee, a strawberry cream with sake, red wine blended with dark chocolate crunch, mango puree, and a blueberry puree with coconut flakes and lemon zest. All in dark chocolate!" She listed out the flavours with a smile only to blink when he nuzzled against her cheek. As she turned her head toward him, he quickly pecked her lips before pulling away to open the box.

Limon's cheeks pinkened as she went to make the coffee mugs exactly the way they liked while he popped one of the confections into his mouth,
"Mmmhm the red wine one's delicious."
