Sparkle On Little Imps!

Dakota was sitting alongside a few of his imps as the others had gone to rest. It was time to light the sparklers for the festivities going on. This would be fun for the little creatures as they wanted to experience what their owner was going to do with the interesting stick and flame. It was going to be something that Dakota would have to watch them over so as not to leave them injured in any way from either the falling sparks or initial flames.

River the impup was bouncing around on the floor and wagging his tail, trying to get a sniff of the stick in his owner’s hands. This had Dakota lifting them a bit more to keep him from snagging any. Alongside River, Proteus and Thimble were eyeing nearby with slightly tilted heads and nimble little bimble hands worriedly rubbing against the other. The three little imps made sure to keep from causing too much trouble, even with Proteus trying to make some little prank bits whilst giving a bit of chuckling sounds. He seemed to want to give into the fiendish side of himself but also tried to hold back for Dakota’s sake.

“You guys must stay right here, okay? I don’t want any of you getting hurt or eating anything you shouldn’t other than the dango that I bought for the celebration. Eating these sparklers would be upsetting to your sweet little tummies, unfortunately.” Dakota leaned down a smidge to be more on level with his beautiful imps.

The three of them tilted their heads before nodding as one by one they understood the things his mouth was saying. All that they needed now was to wait for the glowing light of the “sky” to slightly get a bit dimmer to let the sparkler shine bright. It would only be a handful of minutes and then Dakota would begin the light show.

“Not long now guys~ Huddle up here on the pillows I set up for you~ I’ll show you all a bit of… magic~ All it takes is a little flame and this little stick will show you all of its colors~ Something I think you guys would REALLY enjoy~”

After giving the little ones a sweet smile and wiggling the items he mentioned, he moved to sit on his own taller seat with a cushy paw-shaped pillow. Carefully, his hands moved along to strike the match he had and then light the sparkler he had, being one that didn’t throw too many sparks and more just for looking at pretty colors with the occasional few shots of the burning powder.

The looks on the small imps faces made Dakota chuckle and smile. River had jumped off the pillow and made a distant barking sound with his ears standing up curiously. Proteus seemed to enjoy the sparking from the stick and gave a cheeky expression, wanting to get closer but leaning towards keeping himself still instead. Thimble was a worried mess as his glowing eyes widened and his little antler-like antennae shook slightly. He was mostly worried that it would cause a problem for all of them.

After the festive moments of lighting a few more colors of sparklers, Dakota yawned softly and fed the little imps their treats. This included those who had gone to rest earlier on his bed to wait for the others to complete the bright and shining sparklers the other two wanted to miss. With all that said and done, Dakota brought everyone with him and then got everyone comfy in their own spaces that they had chosen to sleep in as well as himself in his cozy jammies.

Today had been a fun and busy for all of them, but that didn’t mean that the fun with these sparklers and new experiences had to end. This had left Dakota thinking of the many different things that the six of them could get into. It wouldn’t be too hard to show these little guys the fun and sweet things that he had been through himself. Despite being a sloth succubun, he found himself being more active for the little group of loves he had gained as his found family.
