Rabbit Hutch II: Mochi Munching

Quickly, the populated, well lit areas fell away to more dinghy buildings. Some abandoned, some squatted in…lamp light blinking in the unkept machinations of it, lighting just enough of the streets and brush of what was to come. Old brick half-wall with a broken gate, and a forest path beyond. Once, it was common for people to keep a rabbit hutch in this park…but apartments, doll and bun sized, became popular.

Passing through the gate, no more lamp light, only the gray haired bun and Imogen’s second sparkler. It was a wonder if other denizens of this particular area were out there, but the density of the trees of this particular area might've prevented them from seeing them…of any group from seeing each other. Finding a rock and a marker, Goetia pointed it out as Imogen wrote her name in the air, his nose picking up yet more of the sparkler’s burning smell.

Taking a turn into those dense trees into a path less traveled, it wasn’t long before they came to pass by a group of bun form succubuns at a bonfire in front of a rather large rabbit hutch, bottles of alcohol and packets of wieners to roast. Recognizing their leader, Goetia waved as they passed, the bun nodding and letting out a small grunt before resuming some form of fervent squeaking of a recent trip’s tale.

Once more, the fireworks pierced the night overhead, but this time in the far backdrop of the park’s forest…as if it realized just how shy it could be, peeking over the treeline to watch the throuple, now alone again to do as they pleased. As the sparkler died out, Goetia offered another to Imogen, and Byron quickly lit it before querying, “How much further?” That earned a glowing eye roll.

“We’re here.”

Further ahead, in the dark was an angular shape…coming closer, it was very apparently Goetia’s usual rabbit hutch affair. Not too large, in fact, the trunk beside it for clothing to be stored was almost larger.

Not too large, but large enough for three bun form succubuns and maybe an imp or two. There…might’ve been a bottle or two of alcohol tucked away in the trunk as well.

Before Goetia could tell his lovers to make themselves at home, all three seemed to notice the end of the picnic blanket first, before noticing a pail of ice water, champagne, wine, and a box of something else. Brows furrowing, and mouth clearly formed into a frown, Goetia circled the picnic set up right by his hutch, before looking around to the dark woods pressing around them on most sides.

Who came to his spot? When? There were the last few melting cubes, this hadn’t been here all day, the wine was unopened and he fully intended to take it for their celebration here now…

“Tah dah~” Almost jumping out of his skin, out of his glowing marks and hellfire flame, Goetia turned as Imogen set on the picnic blanket and lifted the lid off of the box–wagashi and mochis in a box, Byron popped the champagne open…and all at once, it became evident who set this up. Almost stumbling as he started laughing, Goetia took a knee to the blanket by Imogen. Taking her sparkler in hand, he leaned over and pressed a kiss to her cheek, speaking affectionately into her cheek, “Feed me first, feed me first~!”

A strawberry moon mochi was quickly brought up to his lips and, Byron sitting further away from the two, huffed and poured himself some of that bubbly. Setting the bottle back into the bucket with a light clang, he leant over to snatch the one and only sesame moon moshi of the set all for himself…
