EATING SUCH DELICIOUS FOOD CAN’T BE ILLEGAL!

Atma and Leith were excited (especially Atma) to eat some good Mochi on the Mochi Moon festival of this year. They brought their own mochi offerings for Allocer in hopes to get their vision, although they ended up bringing only two of the four mochi they had prepared, as Atma got kinda peckish on the way.

When they arrived at the festival grounds, the fireworks show hadn’t started yet. Leith decided that the first thing to do would be to give the mochi offering, before, well, Atma got hungrier, which happened a lot.

“Let’s get this to Allocer first, master, then we’ll browse the mochi in the festival for you to try.”
“Ugh, I’m hungry again… Can I…?“

Before Atma could touch one of the mochi, Leith gave him a light slap on the wrist. Then, clearing his throat,

“Sorry, but you’ll have to wait, master. Ah, here we are!”

The buns made the traditional offering to Allocer and waited for the vision of the moon… just in case. Both were kind of new to this and didn’t know if it came immediately after the offering or at night.

“Maybe it does come in the tapestry of dreams, master. I suppose we can go eat some mochi now, and maybe play with some of those… shiny and cool fireworks.”
“Finally, some food, let’s go!!”

Leith was keen on playing with the fireworks, while Atma, on the other hand, just had mochi-shaped eyes right now, and was quick to get to where they had some. Every year they prepared more than enough mochi for all the buns to enjoy, even considering the gluttonous ones. When Leith finally arrived at where Atma was, he had already devoured about 10 of them, and was onto five more.

“I suppose the food is good, master?”
“Yehf, it’sf fuckingf delifious! Come, haf somef!”

Atma passed some Mochi to Leith and gestured for him to grab some. Leith did as he was told and started to eat one.

“You’re right, master, these are... acceptable.”

Leith wasn’t much of a mochi fan. He took one because his master offered it to him, and it would be a sign of disrespect not to take one. He munched slowly and with a barely genuine smile, but honestly, he didn’t have to. Atma was eating a lot of them now, one after the other, nonstop, and wasn’t even looking at him.

“Theref’s lotf of mofi, don’f be shy and eat!”, said Atma while gorging out on mochi. His spirit motes watched with a drooling face. While they couldn’t eat the mochi, to them it looked REALLY good!!

Seeing Atma eat like that was normal for them; I mean, they were eaten by him, after all! They hadn’t thought about food at all before being around Atma, but now they got curious. Sometimes, by the connection they shared, they felt the flavors from Atma’s soul essence, but it didn’t happen all the time.

Hopefully this would be one of those days…

While seeing his master eat, Leith took notice of a couple of buns, that looked like security staff, looking towards where Atma was eating right now. They looked at him with narrowed eyes and a little frown, and one of them pointed at Atma while the other nodded in response. Both of them then talked to a third bun, and looked like they were plotting something.

Oh no… Those buns… Yeah, I can feel it… They want to interrupt my master’s feast! I won’t tolerate this insolence!

Lieth, angry, turned around and went looking for those awesome sparkles to defend his master’s quite time. His master was going to eat all the food he wanted, and would only stop when HE wanted, not on someone else’s whim!

“Hey, Leith, look, I won a trophy for eating the most mochi! Some buns invited me to their team and… Uh? Leith?”

About 5 minutes after Leith went looking for sparklers, the three buns that had looked suspicious went to where he was eating to invite Atma to join their team for a mochi eating competition. Atma crushed it, of course, and every bun got a trophy full of mochi for winning, which Atma already ate, except for one that he saved for Leith.

However, he was nowhere to be seen. Atma, satisfied for now, decided to go looking for him. Hopefully he wasn’t in any trouble…
