Working on Plushies Together

Ione sighed as they entered Cottontail Couture and it was thankfully quiet.
The bun had run out of fleece fabric and sewing materials the night prior. They were in need of top up so they could finish more projects. Ione had just spent several hours prior just inventorying their personal stock to figure out what they needed to buy and it was quite an amount. Ione groaned at the thought of having to bring them all home. Looks like they would have to either buy small amount of their list or ask if Peter did deliveries. Their harpup named Blop had accompanied them and was secured inside the tied up ears.

As Ione explored the fleece fabric aisle, they spotted an adorable little plushie in shape of blue phloof on display on a shelf. Ione carefully picked it up for a closer look. It was clear that the tail and horns were done separately and attached to the main body but the stitching were not visible and expertly hidden. The fabric was fleece with few pieces of wool felted in to give the fluffy feel that phloof were known for. The eyes were white felt glued on. Ione would have gone for plastic eyes as it was their preference. Blop wriggled around and Ione sighed as they lifted the plushie up for their harpup to look at.

"A-ah you found the little plushie" Peter spoke, clearly embarrassed and slightly flushed as Ione glanced up at the sweet shopkeeper. To Peter's mild surprise, Ione smiled slightly
"I make plushies myself in my spare time. I'm assuming you made this one? It's well done" Ione praised
"A-ah thank you. I used to make plushies before I discovered fashion" Peter admitted as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly
"...Oh yes I had an question. Do you do home deliveries?" Ione inquired and frowned at Peter's head shake
"We've been having trouble with deliveries so it's on hold. However I can put part of your order on hold for pick up at another time? I've seen you around and you are loyal" he explained then offered which pleased Ione.

"That's good! For now any chance I could convince you into a plushie making session? It's honestly always nice to work on things with others" Ione raised an eyebrow in hope as Peter hummed before nodding.
"Let's gather materials first"

Blop slipped out of Ione's ears and into their arms. With their persistent flopping; Ione was directed toward a soft fleece fabric that was off white, slightly pink. Peter had to chuckle as Ione raised an brow at the harpup in their arms.

"I assume you want me to turn you into a plush?" Blop bounced eagerly and Ione huffed in amusement "Spoiled little thing"

The fabric was picked up and Blop managed to direct Ione toward speckled pink fabric
"..........For Strawberry Sherbet? You sure?" Blop bounced around in Ione's arms
"....That's Limon's pink harpup" Ione explained to the chuckling Peter as it was grabbed.
Peter raised an eyebrow as Ione grabbed two bags of plastic eyes; one white other dark brown

"I prefer using those over felt fabric for the eyes" they explained as Peter guided them to the sewing room where his equipment were. As Ione settled into a seat with their products and began to cut up the amount they'd need, Peter got to work in doing the same thing.

Snip snip snip soon filled the room as both cut out the shapes they needed. The front fins were going to be sew on separately but Ione was confident they would be able to sew the main body together and stuff it before adding the stuffed front fins. They glanced up to see Peter meticulously sewing the plushie together and making sure to leave a large opening for the stuffing to go inside
"Is that a Bearly plushie?" Ione inquired, having noticed the body parts laying around and Peter nodded. "It's going to be adorable" Ione added as they refocused their attention on their two plushies.

It was not long before Ione was grabbing the stuffing bag and taking it out piece by piece as they carefully started with the tail fins, stuffing them into lovely peaks, the tail shaped and then the body stuffed into round shape harpups were so well known for. Blop bounced around as Ione sewed up the body of the albino harpup plushie then worked on the front fins. Once they were stuffed and shaped; Ione closed them up and very meticulously attached them to the main body.

Peter observed as the gluttony bun switched to working on the pink harpup plushie. Once it was done, it was set aside with the other plushie and Peter watched as Ione got up to stretch their bun limbs with a soft yawn.
"I barely slept last night" they chuckled at the questioning look as the gluttony bun went looking for a pair of small scissors. As Peter continued to work on their patchwork bearly plushie, Ione carefully cut two small holes in each plushie's face and glued the plastic eyes inside; black for albino and white for pink.
"Well done! They both look fantastic" Peter praised as he had come over for closer look. Ione picked Blop up as Peter picked both plushies for closer look. To his expert eye, they both looked fantastic. Not a single stitch out of place, well stuffed and the fins were excellently attached. He could tell that Ione took great pride in their craft skills.
