Feeling Horny Prompt [Jove]

Jove looks down at the little shimmering bag in his hooves as he pads through the winding stone streets of Burrowgatory. Anyone who knew the pink-loving bun could tell from his expression alone that he had some sort of idea brewing in that little head of his– and clearly it had to do with the item in his grasp; because with each excited bound, a little cloud of pink shimmer fell into the air beneath them.

Jove weaves through crowds of other buns and through the streets to his destination, home. When he arrives, he can hardly keep still from the excitement. He was going to be trying something new, something fashionable– something that his friends would just adore as much as he would!

At long last, Jove arrived home and immediately hopped up onto the plush velvet stool in front of his vanity. Depositing the satchel of glitter on its surface, he leans his head from side to side, back and forth, trying to find the best and easiest method of application as he peers at himself through the mirror. With a soft gasp, a lightbulb goes off in his head and he procures a bottle of clear nail polish from the corner of his vanity.

“This is perfect, this way it’ll stay on for a long time…” Jove giggles, pleased by his own quick thinking. “Oh, but… how will I…? Well… Only one way to find out, I suppose! I really should have asked for help, though…”

With a noncommittal shrug, he twists the nail polish bottle open with his hooves, staring down at the clear substance and the bristles of its applicator.

“I guess I’ll just… go for it.” He mumbles softly as he raises the applicator brush up to his horn. With a few careful, steady strokes, he places it back into the nail polish bottle and leans in to look closer into the mirror.

“Sh-shit. Maybe I didn’t think this through…” Jove mumbles to himself as he stares down at the bag of glitter he’d placed aside earlier, “How do I…? Should I just…? Oh, screw it.” He says with a new sense of determination to see this through, whether or not it looks like garbage after he’s finished is besides the point. He can always just try again later with help… But, for now, Jove wants to see if he can do it by himself.

Taking and holding a deep breath, Jove made up his mind and decided to just go for it. He lifts the bag above his head and closes his eyes tightly, dusting the glitter over top of his head like snow. The sparkly dust sticks onto the surface of Jove’s polish covered horn, and falls over his hair and face. Jove shakes his head side to side to dispel the loose glitter before he even attempts to open his eyes.

As Jove opens his eyes, he takes in the (slightly goofy) sight of his own glitter covered face; but his focus shifts to his horn, which now shimmers under the pale yellow light of the edison bulbs on his vanity mirror.

“Oh-ho-ho my goodness.~” He coos with a relieved giggle. He sets the bag aside once more in favor of the bottle of nail polish and starts over on the other side. Once both horns are coated in glitter and nail polish, he backs up to take a better look at his overall appearance.

Besides the glitter coating the upper half of his bun body, stuck in his fur and hair, he was pleased with the result of his experiment, and he definitely loved that his horns shimmered in the light without having gilded parts. Jove sighed in content as he admired his handiwork. Legend has it that he’s still staring at his glitter covered horns in the reflection of his vanity mirror to this day.
