Working Hard, Dance Harder!

A simple pink leotard was gently folded and shoved into a simple drawstring bag along with two pairs of ballet pointe shoes; one pink other white. Normally Ballini would pack her signature lacy ballet outfit but as she was going to the studio for some warm ups and lessons; it would not be an appropriate attire.

She did however grab several purple ribbons matching the ones stitched into her being so she could keep her ears up while dancing. Her pink hair had been pulled back into a ballet bun already. Two bottles of water were tossed into the bag along with a small towel.

Okay she was all ready! Smoothing over wrinkles in her long purple sweater dress, she then pulled on her favorite knee length black boots and grabbed a lovely dark purple trench coat. With that, Ballini was out of her apartment and heading down the stairs toward the front door so she can be on her way to the studio which was several buildings down the street. It was getting rather chilly outside so Ballini had drained a rather large cup of tea and made sure to cover her delicate glassy legs up as they could get overly cold easily much to her chagrin.

 

As Ballini entered the front door she smiled in greeting at other people in the building and quickly got changed into her ballet outfit before settling on the studio floor to get her pointe shoes secured. They always took her a good bit due to the slippery nature of her glassy limbs but she managed. Her ears were last step in getting ready and Ballini pulled them above her hair before tying swiftly. They flopped over and Ballini smiled at her reflection in the full length mirror lining the walls in the room. Then she got up, went to one of ballet barre around the room to begin her warm up. It was not long before the room filled up with her fellow ballet dancers. Two dolls took their place beside her; one of them greed horned and the other one prideful horned. The trio exchanged small pleasantries as they got warmed up. Ballini's legs were no longer chilly, and they were easy to bend and manipulate to her will much to her pleasure. 

 

Then the teacher, a graying prideful doll came forward and clapped hands together once, twice, thrice before speaking in loud clear voice

"I see everyone has warmed up. Come and get in formations. We will be working on one of the scenes from the upcoming ballet show in two months. I hope everyone has it memorized properly this time." Ballini sighed as she remembered how last time had gone so poorly that their teacher had ended up screaming at them and ended session early.

 

Ballini went to her position in second row and to the left before getting on en pointe. Her hands went easily towards in first position. Then the group began to dance across the room with flurry of ballet pointe scurrying about and arms moving gracefully. There were several spins included and few graceful lifts. Their instructor had them run through the routine three times with mild corrections before releasing them for water break. Ballini had to adjust her ears as the ribbon had gotten loose before resuming the session.

 

Afterwards, she got dressed then went out with her two close friends to grab some healthy lunch at a lovely cafe nearby that sold their favorite hand pies and hot drinks. They were all excited for the upcoming ballet performance because that would earn them some good amount of carats and they got to do what they loved to do: dancing!
