Too much Dango will lead to A NAP

Fuyuko had been out of the cottage  that entire morning; visiting her friends and bringing them homemade sweets, stopping by Harlequinn Romance to say hello to Harley as well as play some gachpon machines with Holland. She lucked out with few new plushies and they were in a tote bag she had purchased from Cottontail Couture where Peter was more than happy to help her pick out. There was a quick stop by The Imporium to greet Hutch who was looking after a group of Pampki that had been brought in for the month. It was not long after her visit to Hutch when her stomach growled in plead for substance. There were plenty of confectionery stores down the strip that she was on so she continued her stroll and take a glance at each while trying to decide what she wanted to eat as a quick snack totally not as lunch.

 

There was a café that sold sandwiches but Fuyuko was not feeling sandwiches nor did she desire burritos. She did enjoy salads but none of options on menu plastered to the door sounded tempting. Her favorite place that offered wraps was closed for inventory which had her pouting. Her favorite poutine place was also closed and she absolutely was not feeling sushi. Then she came across a store with open counter at the front. A prideful doll with flowing blue-gray hair in high ponytail was setting out confections. Mochis, buns, rice cakes, and dangos. OH! Fuyuko recognized the doll as Dan, the owner of the well-known Dan's Dangos.

PERFECT for a not totally a lunch snack. 

 

Dan glanced up from setting up his stand when he felt eyes staring for tad too long and frowned slightly. 

"OH! I'm sorry, was I staring too much?" Fuyuko flushed

"It's just that I've heard so much about your sweets and I'm so hungry and I wanted to check out the offerings" she rambled and there was a hint of smile on Dan's face that swiftly faded into his default grumpy expression. 

 

"Hmm may I have one Mitarashi Dango please?" she inquired and easily paid for it.

The three perfectly sculptured white balls with sweet soy sauce drizzled on it on the wooden stick was handed over to her and Fuyuko began to salivate at the thought of tasting the sweet yet sticky treat. The top ball was carefully taken into her mouth and bitten off.

MM so salty and sweet! Fuyuko hummed as she polished off the stick before ordering another.

By the third one she was getting rather sleepy and was yawning much to Dan's slight amusement.

 

"Go into the back. You will meet Shibani. I promise he is excellent napping companion" he gestured for Fuyuko to follow his instructions. Confused, she did as told and was bemused to see a yawning white sloth bun with red ropes tied around his body. Upon seeing Fuyuko, he quickly rolled over and got to his feet

"O-oh hello....You're sleepy yes? Come come nap" he smiles with a wide yawn.

Gosh that was so darn adorable that Fuyuko was immediately in her bun form and hopping over to join the pillow pile.

OH GOSH it was SO SOFT and fluffy. It reminded her of the clouds she loved to look up to whenever she was in her secret spot behind her cottage.

 

It was not long before Fuyuko had flopped over on her stomach and her hat half off her head; fast asleep in the soft pillow pile. Shibani had curled up nearby, also dozing off and pretty much relaxed.

 

When Dan first checked in on the pair, Fuyuko had shifted to be on her side and back pressing against Shibani who soon rolled over to half sleep on her, ears flopping over her face.

Second check in had Shibani fully laying across Fuyuko who was barely bothered. Her hat had been kicked aside and Dan huffed out in amusement as he picked it up to be set aside.

Third check in had him stifling his laughter as Fuyuko's clouds was covering the pair quite considerably. She must be having a sweet dream.

 

It was about three or four hours later that Fuyuko woke up to being in a belly-down position and Shibani being mostly draped across her back. She huffed and yawned widely only to blink in surprise when the white sloth bun was abruptly taken off her. Apparently Dan had come into the back room just in time to see her wake up and thus picked Shibani up to free her.

The prideful starry bun stretched out her body before moving off the pillow pile and shifting into her doll form. She took Shibani from Dan to give him a quick hug in thanks before returning to the pile

"Thank you so much, Dan. That was wonderful nap. I will have to swing by more for those naps and of course for your delicious dango" she smiled before departing for home.
