Burrow Sweet Clearing

When asked "What is your favorite place to be?" Fuyuko will always answer "My home!"

 

Where is her home? It's a really cozy cottage that sits on outskirts of the bustling city. It is a moderate size two floors with lovely porch that easily wrap around the cottage. The roof are at lovely slope to allow for easy rainfall and slip of snow when they do occur. The property surrounding the cottage is a stunning example of nature. A lovely clearing full of stunning plants and bushes and surrounded by glorious full trees. If you stand at the front door and looked ahead; there would be a well-worn path leading away from cottage and down between the two long strips of trees. It is currently autumn shifting into winter so the colors are stunning red, orange, yellows with several trees being evergreens. Fuyuko is absolutely looking forward to seeing those being cloaked in beautiful sparkling snowy white. 

 

The cottage itself is simply soft cream with dark blue accents. The wood itself is dark walnut as Fuyuko really was not fond of lighter woods for outdoor appearance. The decorations for the property had been kept rather simple as Fuyuko wanted to respect the nature and keep majority of decorations inside. In the backyard there is a fenced area clearly sectioned off for growing vegetables, fruits and herbs for easy access in culinary. Tomatoes, bell peppers, rosemary, oregano, blueberries, strawberries, you name it, it is likely there. They had been raked over completely in preparation for the winter. On the back porch sits a small swing that Fuyuko could drape herself across with a good book and enjoy the scenery. The small side table provides space for drinks and snacks. The front porch has larger swing that Fuyuko could sit in and wait for company to come over or chat with them. 

 

However. The cottage. It is not her number one favorite place where she can go and just decompress. Oh no. Do not get her wrong, she LOVES her home. It is just there is a SO MUCH BETTER place nearby where she likes to go to when she needs to decompress and get lost in her head.

 

There is a way to get to this place mentioned and it is through the backyard. There is this hidden trail that is easy to miss if you do not know where to look. It is just behind the garden and the trail is rather narrow. If one is not careful and vigilant, they can easily get injured from how steep and winding the trail is leading away from the cottage. When Fuyuko has carefully navigated the trail and using several trees to keep her balance she finally arrives at a large clearing with large shimmering pond in smack middle of it. There is a long deck leading to the middle of the pond.

 

With a small smile on the prideful bun, she approach the deck, removes her hat along with her stockings and shoes before hurrying toward the end. With great care, she kneels down onto the wooden planks then hangs her legs off the edge before laying back down onto her back.

 

The sky above her is crispy blue with several stunning fluffy white clouds that looked like they would be so soft to the touch. Soon the beautiful blue sky was starting to be tinted in dusky oranges and blue-purples, ready for the transition from daylight to nighttime. As Fuyuko got lost into her mind just gazing up at the sky; it darkened fully from sunset into beautiful dark blue night sky.

 

This. This is Fuyuko's happy place. Gazing up at the clouds whether it be during the day or at the night and being surrounded by beautiful nature. She can easily do this anytime.
