When they find something interesting, they tend to obsess over it. Music. Fire. Healthy Eating. In this case, lighting candles for the visiting demons in Burrowgatory, also partially tying into the aforementioned obsession with fire. Icarus didn't mind traveling out of their shell to light candles around the city. It was an interesting tradition, helping welcome the demons and set an atmosphere for the month. They found this time of year to be nice, even though they never tended to indulge in much of anything. Seeing others enjoying themselves, people watching some call it, Icarus found the pleasure others had to be intriguing.

When Darlet arrived at the music shop, he was surprised to see Icarus locking up. Carrying a basket full of unlit candles in their arms. "Lil small to be carrying that basket. You need a hand?" Icarus didn't need to say much, extending their hooves out to pass the basket. "Lead the way. I was coming to mess around with you anyway."

Having their shop settled in a winding alley made their first few stops easy. Lighting up two candles right infront of the music store. Every thirty or so feet, stopping and lighting another as they traveled along. Settling them in nooks where light often never shined, illuminating the once dark and eerie alleys into softly lit pathways. The abundance of lights shown the age of the concrete and the once uniform designs of the tightly packed buildings that surrounded the city. Not many walked these areas, but those that did only saw them as quick shortcuts, or places to lie low. Icarus saw them as secluded places, devoid of much life. They wanted that to change. At least while they had company. They wanted their demonic visitors to feel comfortable, even if only in these small areas.

Darlet watched as Icarus dilligently and methodically snatched candles from the basket to light up the path into the city. He wasn't aware just how many they planned on lighting just on the way there, and the supply was running low quickly. Before the basket in his hand was empty, he snagged one candle, shoving it into his pocket. He wanted to light one himself, as even he wanted to give a warm welcome. There was a demon in particular he wanted to see.

Once Icarus began to see the end of the tunnel, they reached into the basket. Only to feel the bottom. They stopped. Their mouth opening for just a moment before a sigh left their lips. They began tugging at the strings of their hood, stamping their foot slighting while they thought. Darlet noticed this and placed a hand on the top of their wing. "Hey. You wanna go buy some more candles? You used a lot. We should probably buy a couple packs. I know a store down the street." After a few seconds, they stopped stamping and let the grip on their hoodie strings loosen. They turned to face Darlet before holding out their arms. Darlet smirked, kneeling down to scoop Icarus up in his arms. "Okay. I'll be quick." With that, he broke into a sprint.

The shop was a small party store, selling birthday supplies usually, but now they sold all manner of spooky decoration and especially a large stock of candles for All Sinner's Day. The woman at the counter gave the two of them a puzzled but kind welcome, Darlet rushing over to the candle shelf and swiping six packs of twenty four candles. "If this isn't enough for you, I will have to start getting the packs of birthday cake candles, and you will have to settle for those." He joked, making a mad rush for the counter only to dig in his pocket and slam down fifty carats. "Keep the change." Before slamming against the door and back onto the streets. The shop keeper looked down at the carats on the counter. The candles were ten carats a pack.

As Darlet walked Icarus back to the alley, he stopped in front of a large three story building. The lights in the windows were flashing a variety of colours, and Darlet simply shook his head and smiled. "Go on ahead, I'll be a sec. I wanna light one here." He let Icarus onto the ground, handing the now overfull basket over. Icarus hobbled away back to the alley to finish their work. Walking up the steps to his home, he stopped at the front door. His hand reaching into his pocket and brandishing the extra candle he had snagged earlier. He looked at it for a moment, rolling it in his palm before putting a nail to its side. Carving into the wax, brushing away the excess with a finger before looking at his work. He sighed. "It's worth a try." He set the candle on the top of the stairs railing, holding a lighter flame to the wick before watching the warm glow illuminate the small radius of the front door. "Come visit. Please." He spoke with a shaky voice, quickly turning on his heels and running to follow Icarus.

A shadowy figure walked the streets of Burrowgatory. Feeling at home in their tight knit community, with it's exciting and indulgent atmosphere. It wanted to see all of the sights, but first, there was a place it needed to go. Approaching the building, it saw a candle set out by the front door. Slowly climbing the steps, it stopped and picked up the waxen light. Insepcting it showed a word carved into its side, 'Lied'. It let out a laugh, gently placing the candle back down before shifting it's form somewhat. Knocking twice on the door, a man in a wolf costume holding a red solo cup answered. "Yo bro. Welcome to the costume party. I gotta say, sick look. You should talk to Jousah, he'll get you in the contest. Otherwise, crack open a cold one and have fun." The man wandered back into the densely packed room. Now in it's 'costume', the black figure adorned long bunny ears, and wore a purple suit that accentuated it's long lanky stature. If it was going to find Darlet anywhere, it would be here.

Icarus has made plans to set out candles for All Sinner's Day, and managed to drag Darlet along for the ride.

Darlet has a special sentiment for All Sinner's Day, and sets out a special candle for a demon he wants to visit.

A demon has come to find Darlet, and the candle's message was received.
