The Small Alley's Candy Store

The Matentines were here already and though Yingjie had never found much interest in it before, this time was different as he now had someone that he cared for, and he knew that he had to buy something for her. He would have preferred to cook something rather than having to walk around the city to find the perfect treat gift but... Though he is the best at roasting and grilling things, he is terrible at baking and would have no idea were to start even with instructions. So, against his will, he pushed himself to go to the city center and find treats for Miho.

Once he arrived, the city was crowded like never before. So many Succubuns were doing shopping and it did not seem possible to enter in a bakery without queuing for at least half an hour... He was ready to change his mind and to run away from this madness but thinking of having nothing to give to Miho for such a special event that the Matentines are... He could not do that... So... Once again against his will, he gathered all the inner strength he had left in him, thought about all the love he has for her and... He took a look around before deciding were to stand in line. All the cakes he could see through the store windows looked amazing, so detailed and fancy. He was wondering if the taste would be as good as the appearance though... Other stores were offering chocolates, those too were quite fancy, some decorated with gold dust and some very carefully crafted details. There were even little statues made out of chocolate. This made him imagine covering Miho in chocolate for their own intimate time... But he came back to his mind, wondering how the Matentines spirit and this increased sexual tension could make him want such a thing, he doesn't even like chocolate that much! Oh but... He could cover himself in chocolate for her though... That could be a somewhat interesting experience... But, well, time to wake up from this day dreaming, he was here for a gift, not to imagine how he was gonna spend his intimate moments with her.

He kept walking around, seeing all these amazing cakes, viennoiseries, candies and else everywhere, until, from the main street he was nonchalantly walking in, he saw, in a little, narrow street crossing that main one, what seemed to be a candy shop where not much people seemed to be. He headed there to see that a few people actually were inside, but at least there was no line, and, this store actually made him curious as it seemed quite different from all the others he had seen so far. Indeed, here you could create candies yourself! In exchange of carats the store owner gives you all the necessary material for it, and you can then be as creative as you want! Though he knew he was terrible at making all kinds of sweet things, he thought it quite interesting and more personal that just buying something all made already - also the fact that there was no line was quite a good factor to convince him about that place too. So, he entered the candy store, took a seat, and started crafting his candies. He knew she loves lollipops, so he made 3 of them. One of a strawberry flavour that kind of look liked a heart, another of rose flavour that he did his best to make it look like a flower, and the last one of peach flavour that he tried to shape as a succubun bun form head - that was actually supposed to be her head at first but, for some obvious reasons looking at the candy, he decided not to tell her that. When he finished he wrapped the lollipops into some cute little transparent paper with patterns on it and stayed a minute sitting there, looking at them. He knew that they were not perfect but he was kind of proud of himself, and he knew that Miho would appreciate the efforts that he put into it. And, even thought they were not the prettiest, they tasted good, which was the most important thing - he knew they were good because the customers were allowed to taste a small bit of the flavours before choosing which they want to work with, to make sure that it would be to their partner's taste, or to their own.

Yingjie left the store, satisfied of his day, feeling quite excited on the inside to gift it to Miho, but showing no such feeling on the outside. Even though crafting the lollipops took him more time than it would have to stand in line to buy a cake or else, it would not have been as fun and rewarding as the two hours he spent in that candy shop.
