Bun's Best Friend

Andi stared down at her impup, Wave, feeling a headache coming on as she did.  In her hands, she held a ten pound wheel of cheese, and Wave, unrepentant, dangled from the underside of it, a portion of her malleable magic body warped around the cheese.

“It’s literally like ten times your size,” Andi said.

Wave barked her defiance, somehow all without releasing the cheese wheel.  Better not to question it, who knew how she even barked in the first place, let alone with a cheese wheel partially inside of her…

“I don’t know if that’s our cheese wheel anymore,” Kaili said, watching from the couch.  Her imps were behaving nicely, all three laying along her back and watching the show with her.

“If I can get it back from her it is,” Andi grumbled.

“Well more like…”  Kaili frowned slightly.  “How fast do they digest it?”

Andi grimaced, realizing what she meant.  “Fuck.  Right…  Do you think it’s safe to… cut around the part she’s trying to consume…?”

“Probably?”

Andi carried the defiant impup and the cheese wheel back to the kitchen counter, setting it onto the cutting board that was already there.  She’d placed it there originally, turned her back for one minute to get a knife, and turned back around to find her impup like that…  Wave was a ridiculous little creature.  She was sweet, certainly, but where all of Kaili’s imps had fairly calm temperaments and were eager to listen and to please, Wave…  Well, Wave had no interest in pleasing anyone but herself.  Occasionally she did seem to care if Andi was displeased - but those weren’t the times where she was trying to avoid a bath or latched onto a whole wheel of cheese.

Wave whined as she watched Andi cut the wheel of cheese up.  Suddenly, instead of being attached to a whole wheel of cheese, she only had a small section of it - and before she could finish hoovering it up, she was firmly in her owner’s arms and being carried back out into the living room.

Even worse, she was carried past the living room, and plopped into the bedroom, and then the door shut to trap her!

Andi massaged her forehead as she headed back to the kitchen.  She’d cut the cheese wheel up into more manageable sections now, while she had the chance, and package them up for later use in their cooking.  Once that was done and everything was all secured, she’d go get the impup again and give her apology cuddles for being so mean as to lock her in the bedroom…  And she’d try to remember, next time she took cheese out, to do that first.
